Zenless Zone Zerohas revealed its newest Agent, Tsukishiro Yanagi, who will be added to the title in its next update.Zenless Zone Zerois known for its various factions that each play a role in improving New Eridu and keeping the city safe from Hollow monsters, and Yanagi is a representative of one of the most powerful groups.
Yanagi is a Deputy Chief of Hollow Special Operations Section 6, or simply Section 6, which is an armed force under H.A.N.D. The faction is often the first-response team during high-risk Hollow disasters, making the members some of the strongest people inZenless Zone Zero’s story. So far, onlyA-Rank Ice character Soukakuis a playable Agent from Section 6, and soon, Yanagi will be joining her.
Zenless Zone Zeroannounced on social media that Yanagi will be the next Agent to be added in Version 1.3. She will be an Electric-type Anomaly character, meaning that she caninflict a significant number of Anomaly Buildupon enemies.Zenless Zone Zerodidn’t indicate Yanagi’s rank, but it’s likely that she’s the first S-tier banner character for Version 1.3.

InZenless Zone Zero’s story, Yanagi is portrayed as a cool-headed Section 6 Agent whose primary goal is to keep civilians out of Hollows and take downpowerful Ethereals like Nineveh. Section 6 has mostly been operating in the background, but with Yanagi becoming playable,Zenless Zone Zerofans might see more of the faction in Version 1.3’s main story. Likewise, many players have said that they’re excited to pull for Yanagi and to see the other Section 6 Agents added to future banners.
Zenless Zone Zerois known for its intuitive combat systeminspired byStreet Fighter 6’s mechanics, so it’s important to have a good mix of characters in a team to pull off the strongest combos. It’s still too early to tell how Yanagi will potentially shake up the meta, but if she’s indeed an S-tier Electric Anomaly character, she might just take Grace Howard’s throne.
Both Yanagi and Grace are Electric-type Anomaly characters. The difference is that Grace is a long-range unit, while Yanagi uses a polearm blade.
Zenless Zone ZeroVersion 1.3 doesn’t have an official release date just yet, but it’s estimated that it will launch on or around July 30, 2025. With around a month to wait, fans can expect more details to be revealed in the coming weeks, including Yanagi’s banner schedule and ability kit.
