Summary

In September,Xbox Game Pass will be adding three strategy games, the first beingAge of Mythology: Retold, which launches on the 4th. The real-time strategy game has been developed by World’s Edge and Forgotten Empires and is already receiving generally positive reviews. It will be followed byTrain Sim World 5a couple of weeks later on September 17 and, on the 20th,Frost Punk 2,the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s award-winning city-building survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world.

Age of Mythology: Retoldis, as the name implies, a remaster of the original game developed by Ensemble Studios and released in 2002. It uses the samegame engine asAge of Empires 3: Definitive Edition, called Bang Bang, and, as such, sports updated visuals and fully revamped animations. In-game models have been completely redone, and even the destruction mechanics of buildings under siege look more realistic, as a burning Granary, for example, will smoke and drop bits of woods before collapsing into rubble.
