InWorld of Warcraft: The War Within, Harbinger Crests are a new upgrade material that can be used to improve your gear. Like theCrests fromDragonflight, these new Harbinger Crests come in a few different varieties for different types of Gear.
For example, the highest tier of Harbinger Crest, the Gilded Harbinger Crest, will only improve gear with the Hero or Myth type, while a Weathered Harbinger Crest can only be used on Adventurer and Veteran gear. Four Tiers Of Harbinger Crests To Upgrade Gear
Harbinger Crests are used to upgrade your Gear totake on Season Oneat the Gear Upgrade vendor in Dornogal. There are four types of Harbinger QuestWoW TWWplayers can collect, each of which are tied to two different Gear tiers.
Explorer Gear can be upgraded to +8, and Adventurer Gear to +4, without using Crests. You only need Valorstones for these gear levels.
You need 15 of each Crest, in addition to Valorstones, to upgrade Gear to higher levels within its category.
Upon hitting Level 80, you will see a quest pop up in Dornogal that introduces theThe War WithinGear Upgrade system. The two Gear Upgrade vendors are both Dracthyr NPCs and can be found in the central-east area of Dornogal in their shop.
There are alsoEnchantedversions of the Weathered, Carved, and Gilded crests, which areused with various Professionsto craft extremely high-level items. Enchanters make these Enchanted Crests, but they can be costly as they each require a hoard of each associated Crest to create.
