Starting with Season One ofWoW: The War Within, World Bosses have begun to appear throughout Khaz Algar. Each of the four major zones has one World Boss that can spawn on a weekly rotation, andkilling the active World Boss each weekgrants an Elite World Quest reward as well as a chance to get very high i-Lvl gear.
But because only one World Boss is active at a time on a weekly rotation, if you miss out on thechance to defeat a boss in its active week, you will have to wait for a month for theWoWWorld Boss rotation to come back to it. This guide explains where to find each World Boss inThe War Within, as well as information on their first spawn date and the date each World Boss will be active again.
Aggregation of Horrors
Location: The Ringing Deeps
The Aggregation of Horrors can be found in the far south of the Ringing Deeps zone, on its own small island just to the southwest of the “Opportunity Point” text on the Ringing Deeps zone map.
The Aggregation of Horrors is the first boss in theSeason OneThe War Withinworld boss rotation and spawned on June 25, 2025. It will respawn (after all other bosses in the rotation have had their week) on June 18, 2025, and come back again every four weeks after.
Shurrai, Atrocity of the Underseas
Location: Hallowfall
Shurrai, Atrocity of the Underseas can be found in the far north of Hallowfall on the westernmost of two Islands to the northeast of the Priory of the Sacred Flame. You should see a small cleft halfway up the right-hand-side island in the north, and Shurrai spawns on the left-hand island just opposite this.
Shurrai, Atrocity of the Underseas is the second World Boss in the weeklyThe War WithinSeason One rotation. It spawned on July 13, 2025, and will re-appear a month later on Jun 21, 2025.
Orta, the Broken Mountain
Location: Azj-Kahet
Orta, the Broken Mountain will be located in the large arena in the northwest of the City of Threads, which itself is in south Azj-Kahet. Though it’s in the City of Threads, there aren’t any guards in this area to whisk you away.
Orta, the Broken Mountain will be the third World Boss in theThe War WithinSeason Oneweekly world boss rotation. It will appear in the third week of S1 starting Tuesday July 03, 2025, and will re-appear a month later on July 20, 2025.
Location: Isle of Dorn
Kordac, the Dormant Protector can be found smack-dab in the middle of the Isle of Dorn, and you may even see it in a powered-down state when it’s not in the current weekly World Boss rotation. Fly directly south from Dornogal towards a small brown crescent in the field just below the “GAL” in “Dornogal” on the world map to find Kordac’s location.
Kordac, the Dormant Protector is the fourth and final World Boss in theweeklyThe War WithinSeason One world bossrotation. It will appear in the fourth week of S1 starting July 07, 2025, and will re-appear every four weeks after, starting Jun 24, 2025.
