Summary
World of Warcraftjust announced the class-specific armor and weapon sets from last year are returning to the Trading Post in November – but with their class restrictions lifted. Fans who get these transmogs, or who already have them, will be able to use them on anyWorld of Warcraftcharacter that can equip the weapon or armor type.
From September through December of last year,World of Warcraftadded class-specific armor and weapon ensembles to the Trading Post. The armor sets included transmogs for the head, shoulders, and belt, while the arsenals each contained a few unique weapons, all of which could only be used byone of the 13 classes inWorld of Warcraft.
This year, these weapon and armor sets are returning to the Trading Post with an exciting twist.World of Warcraftis bringing these stunning sets back to the Trading Post in November, but with their class restrictions lifted. This means players who pick up these ensembles and arsenals can wear them as long as their class has access to the weapon or armor type – for example, Death Knights andWarriors inWorld of Warcraftcan transmogthe previously Paladin-only Plate of the Light Avenger, and any class that can use one-handed swords can use the Blood Onyx Shortblade, even if they aren’t a Rogue.

Last year, the class armor sets were 450 Trader’s Tender each, while the weapon arsenals cost 500. These prices are unlikely to change when they return in November, and with the armor and weapon sets for all 13 classes returning at once, getting all of them will be impossible unless fans have saved thousands of Trader’s Tender over the last year. It may be a while before these sets return again, so players should be careful spending their Trader’s Tender onWorld of Warcraft’s October Trading Post catalogif they hope to get more than a couple of ensembles.
Needless to say, the removal of the class restrictions on these items is huge. Thelimitations on these stellarWorld of Warcraftcosmeticswere one of their only downsides, and fans are overjoyed to see them made available to other classes. This change is especially great for players who picked up some of these sets last year, as the items just became even more versatile.
DuringWoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, recolored versions of theseWorld of Warcraftweapon and armor setswere available in exchange for Bronze. While it remains to be seen if the class restrictions will be removed from these items as well, many players are hopeful they will receive the same treatment, opening up even more transmog opportunities for their characters.
