World of Warcraftjust revealed a massive 20th anniversary event, which includes HD revamps of iconic Tier 2 raid sets, new instances and world bosses, and tons of other exclusive mounts, cosmetics, and more. With plenty of new activities to complete and rewards to earn, the game’s 20th anniversary is set to be the biggest event inWorld of Warcrafthistory.
November 23 marks the 20th anniversary ofWorld of Warcraft. It is no surprise that Blizzard has been planning something big for the major milestone, with the upcoming event appearing as one of the headlining features forPatch 11.0.5 onWorld of Warcraft’s roadmap for 2024.
Now,World of Warcrafthas pulled back the curtain on this colossal in-game event. Available in November and December, the celebration will include tons of activities to enjoy, including the new 10-15 player Blackrock Depths raid. Available in both Heroic and Normal, this eight-boss instance involves Moira Bronzebeard and the Bronze Dragonflight as they look back at the history of the Dark Iron Dwarves. Additionally, fans will be able to completeClassic WoWdungeons in a new Timewalking eventand participate in the Codex of Chromie, a time-bending scenario in Silithus for 10-20 players level 15 and above. Korrak’s Revenge will also return to Alterac Valley as it has in previous years.
At the Caverns of Time, fans can party alongside the Bronze Dragonflight with tons of new and returning activities. The Fashion Frenzy and Mount Mania fashion and collection contests, Storyteller lore stage, and more mini-games can be found there, plus the Guest Relations mystery event, which will have weekly quests for the secret finders of Azeroth. Outside the caverns, players can challenge severaliconicWorld of Warcraftworld bosses like Doomwalker, Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, and the Dragons of Nightmare, plus two newcomers: the Sha of Anger and Archavon the Stonewatcher.
Many rewards from this event will be purchasable with Bronze Celebration Tokens, earned by completing anniversary activities and quests. High-resolution versions of theiconic Tier 2World of Warcraftarmor sets, including brand-new armor for classes that didn’t exist inClassic,are some of the most exciting items players can get with this currency, though they can also buy anniversary items from previous years as well, including the Molten Corgi, Lil’ Nefarian, and the Core Hound mount.
New vendors for theClassicTimewalking dungeon event will be added during the event, which will offer pets, transmogs, and mounts, including the Enchanted Spellweave Carpet, Amani Hunting Bear, and Frayfeather Hippogryph. Players will also be able to obtain the Coldflame Tempest mount, a 20-year balloon toy, two baby doomlord pets, and transmogs based on the Blizzard employee service sword, shield, and crown. Needless to say, fans both old and new won’t want to miss out on this huge celebration of the legendary title’s history.
