Summary

Waze has officially added severalWorld of Warcraftoptions to the navigation app, including a Thrall sidekick voice, a dragon vehicle, and Alliance and Horde-themed mood icons. These freeWorld of Warcraftcustomizations are already available on the Waze app for fans to enjoy without any purchase necessary.

Though there are many different navigation apps on the market for users to choose from, Waze stands out with its breadth of fun customization options and interactivity with other drivers using it. The Google-owned GPS features charming icons for drivers, as well as tons of different sidekicks to provide vocal direction and narration, like one that mimics a classic fantasy role-playing gameNPC straight out of aDungeons and Dragonsgame.

Now, Waze has added a few new options inspired byWorld of Warcraft. Waze users can choose Thrall, voiced by thelegendaryWarcraftcreative director Chris Metzen, as their navigation sidekick. The iconic Orc Shaman provides spiritual guidance for the driver as he helps them navigate. When encountering traffic, he says things like “breathe — this is not the end of the world,” and he refers to U-turns as “a clever strategy to fool any pursuers on our tail,” saying “this is not a retreat; merely a tactical maneuver.” Guided by the dulcet tones of legendary former Warchief of the Horde, fans can bring a little bit of Azeroth along with them on their commutes.

World of Warcraft Options in Waze GPS App

That’s not the onlyWorld of Warcraftoption available in Waze now. Beyond the Thrall sidekick, fans can select a reddragon mount fromWorld of Warcraftto represent their vehicle on the navigation map. Additionally, they can choose from two moods, which change how their vehicle appears to other Waze users – an Alliance soldier, or a miniature Orc for those who want to represent the Horde.

TheWorld of WarcraftWaze options are available in most locations where the app is available, but the Thrall sidekick currently only has an English version. Both the app and theWorld of Warcraftcustomizations are free, so fans can enjoy them at no additional cost.

World of Warcraftfans were delighted by these new Waze options. Thrall has been one of the most popular characters in Azeroth since he appeared inWarcraft 3, so the prospect of bringing him on the road with them was too good to pass up. Many players got a kick at how deep some of his lines got, such as when he says “If you made a mistake, forgive yourself. We all make them… as I did with Garrosh becoming Warchief,” with a sigh. Between this andWorld of Warcraft’s recent promotion with Trolli, there is no shortage of real-life collaborations for fans to enjoy right now.
