WWE 2K24has released the Global Superstars Pack, adding WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, Jade Cargill (one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions with Bianca Belair), Michelle McCool, Carlito, Kairi Sane, Lyra Valkyria, and Dragon Lee. This pack adds a lot of power, as well as popular superstars, toWWE 2K24, and in the case of Nia Jax, it is her seventh mainline game appearance.

Ahead of her debut, Game Rant sat down with the Queen of the Ring to talk about her current WWE run, from the moment she returned a year ago, to working with Triple H in the new era. Obviously, we also had a few questions about herWWE 2K24DLC debut, including her overall rating, how she feels about being in a video game, and who she wants to see players hit with the Annihilator. The following interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

Hi, Nia! I’m a huge fan. Your latest run has been pure cinema, and I’m so excited to see where your story goes, especially your friendship/potential possible someday feud with Tiffany Stratton.

A:Oh my gosh! Tiffy and I will never feud. She will never betray me. I don’t know why you guys attempt to put this out in the universe. Stop trying to manifest this evilness. We are a team, okay? We’re going for all the gold.Tiffy is my princess. She’ll never betray me.

It’s never happened in wrestling. Never, not once, and never will.

A:Well, you know what maybe it has, but they’ve never been me and her. They don’t know the bond we have. She’ll never betray me.

Q: You have been back with the WWE for roughly a year now. When you reflect on the past year of your career, what first comes to mind?

A: Reflecting on the past here, honestly, it has gone by pretty fast. It feels like I just returned, which is weird, but of course, in WWE fashion, you’re on the road. You’re constantly going, things kind of go by in a blink.

I mean, main eventing the PLE in Perth versus Rhea atElimination Chamberwas a huge moment. Having that Day One match against Becky was great. The whole Queen of the Ring Tournament, I can’t say enough amazing things. And of course, rolling right into SummerSlam and becoming the champ, like wow.

Now that I sit back and say it, it’s a lot and it’s pretty cool. It’s just been go go go, and it’s hard to sit back and really soak it all in, but those moments have been standing out for me.

Q: A lot of fans, talent, and seemingly the world have praised Triple H and the Triple H era for the various changes to the WWE product. What’s the biggest benefit you’ve seen working with WWE during this new era?

A:Triple H used to be a talent, right? So he’s come up through the ranks, as in he understands it from every perspective: talent, grinding on the road, driving to every town, and now being the head of our WWE creative team. I want to say he’s who we all look up to in the locker room, and I feel Hunter, Triple H, has like different eyes on it. He understands, he listens to the talent, he listens to the ideas, and he lets us play it out. He gives us more leeway.

It’s almost like we’re his children, where he just lets us go off and find ourselves out there in the ring, and then he hones in our high talents and gives us expertise on how to get better. I highly enjoy it. I’m not knocking the previous regime because they had a great way too, but underthis Triple H regime, I enjoy the fact that I’m able to not feel scared to try something new on-screen and develop my character a little bit more with his guidance.

I’ve heard others say similar things, right? It’s a pretty great time to be a WWE fan, and I imagine to be working there as well.

A: Yeah, it is. You’re not as scared to try things and to try something different, you know it’s not looked down upon. You’re able to thrive a little bit and not feel like you have to look over your shoulders like something’s going to happen, but yeah.

Nia Jax Returns to Video Games with WWE 2K24’s Global Superstars Pack

Q: Moving on to the upcoming Global Superstars Pack for WWE 2K24, you’re back in the game and your rating is 86. What are your thoughts on that overall rating?

A: That’s BS. I feel as though I should be high 90s. Duh. I’m the Queen of the Ring. Yeah, I won the Queen of the Ring Tournament and now I am the Women’s Champion, so I feel as though it should be up in the high 90s. I don’t knowhow this rating system works, but I am definitely going to have a conversation with 2K about this because it’s BS.

Q: This will be your seventh appearance in a WWE video game. When you see yourself in video games, as well as moves like The Annihilator, what comes to mind? Does it present a different perspective?

A:It is crazy to think that I’m in a video game. When I was first able to be like, “Oh, my gosh, I’m in a video game,” I couldn’t even imagine. But it is really cool because now I have my niece and nephew. They’re old enough to be like, “Oh, that’s my aunt,” and their friends will be like, “Oh, I played as your aunt last night on WWE 2K and I beat somebody,” so that’s my accomplishment. Seeing them be proud of me makes it an honor to be a part of these video games because 2K always does me justice.

Do you feel like…

Even though I should have a higher rating! …but that’s fine…

Q: Do you feel like they nailed the move? Does the Annihilator look right?

A: The Annihilator looks pretty good. I’m not going to lie. The game does do it justice. It is a nasty move for anybody who has to take it.

Q: Speaking of, when somebody plays as you, Nia Jax in WWE 2K24, who would you like to see them hit with the Annihilator first?

A:I would love to see them hit Naomi with the Annihilator because, you know, the disrespect from her that I’ve been getting ever since I came back is wrong. Who else? I would love to see Bianca get hit with the Annihilator. I would love to seeRhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, I mean everybody. Everybody should be getting hit with the Annihilator. I mean, some of them have in real life, and they know what it feels like.
