Summary
The story ofWistoria: Wand and Swordtakes place in the vast and vibrant Regarden Magical Academy.Unlike other magic academies out there, this prestigious academy not only focuses on learning about magic, but also emphasizes practical training by letting students regularly dive into their dungeon. Thanks to this, there are a lot of strong mages within the academy.
That being said, the students are far from the strongest people in the series. In fact, there are quite a few individuals with greater strength than everybody in the academy. Most of them are on the side of good, but the series has some powerful antagonists as well. With that in mind, here are the strongest characters shown so far inWistoria: Wand and Sword.
This list focuses on characters who appeared in the first season. Once the second season premiers, this list will be updated with any brand-new names that prove themselves worthy.
10Will Serfort
The Strongest Student in the Academy
The only student who makes the list is the protagonist ofWistoria: Wand and Sword,Will Serfort. There’s an argument to be made that any of the top three students in the academy (Wignall, Lihanna, and Julius) deserve to be on this list more than Will. However, when Will single-handedly defeats Julius with some stamina to spare, he solidifies his positionas the strongest student in Regarden Academy.
Not only that, but Will manages to defeat Julius without having to train or learn any special moves. Once he finds a proper teacher and unlocks his inner strength, he will be even more powerful.
9Edward Serfence
The Strongest Teacher in the Academy
Edward Serfenceteaches the History and Origin of Magic at Regarden Academy, and is an expert in Dark Magic. He has a rather conservative view when it comes to what it means to be a mage and magic in general, which is why he was so opposed to Will’s enrollment in the academy.
Conservative views aside, Edward Serfence is undoubtedly the strongest teacher in the Regarden Magical Academy, second only to the headmaster, Caldron Anouve. In fact, it is often said that Edward Serfence is the closest person in the academy to achieving the coveted title of Magia Vander.
8Caldron Anouve
The Headmaster of the Academy
Caldron Anouve isthe headmaster of the Regarden Magical Academy, and the only person there (other than Workner Norgram) who sees Will’s true potential. That being said, she is also a fair leader, which is why she agreed to Edward’s decision to test Will’s combat power.
For a mage, wisdom and skills come with age, so older mages are often the best at what they do. The same principle applies to headmaster Caldron. She has a deep understanding of magic and has mastered all kinds of spells. She is also one of the handful of people who can de-age herself with magic. In the manga, Caldron often makes herself younger to fool other mages and find promising young talent.
7Headless
A Maniacal Threat To The Students
Headless is one of the evil mages who appears during the All-Student Praxis. To be fair, Headless and Marze never intended to attack the students, but it just so happens that the item that they are looking for in the dungeon happens to be on the same floor as the students.
As his moniker suggests,Headless doesn’t have a head.It’s unclear what sort of dark magic can keep him alive despite this missing part of his anatomy, but one thing is for sure: he is strong enough to single-handedly kill the teachers who guard the students during the All-Student Praxis.
6Marze
A Ruthless Mage Killer
Marze is the second half of the evil duo who terrorize the Regarden Magical Academy, alongside Headless. Unlike the eccentric, free-spirited Headless, Marze looks relatively normal, and is an impatient andquick-tempered man who won’t hesitate to kill anybodywho happens to stand in his way.
Like Headless, Marze can also kill the teachers of Regarder Magical Academy in one attack. But even more than that, they both possess a spell that allows them to control high-level monsters such as the Evil Grand Duke, who usually only appears on level 25th of the dungeon. In terms of strength, Marze is on par with Headless, so their position in this list is interghangeable.
5Ellenor Ljos Alf
The Wind and Illussion Magia Vander
Magia Vander is a title given to individuals who have attained the pinnacle of magic. Currently, five people hold this distinguished title, and Ellenor Ljos Alf is one of them. However, Ellener is the only elf among those five.
Elves are known for their mastery of wind and illusion magic, but Ellenortakes those skill sets to stratospheric heights.She can cause a massive tornado just with a flick of a finger. She can create an illusion so real that it actually turns into reality. In fact, Ellenor managed to recreate the legendary Elf Tree with her illusion magic.
4Elfaria Albis Serfort
The Ice Magia Vander
Elfaria Albis Serfort, affectionately called Elfie by Will, is the youngest person ever to become a Magia Vander. And with twelve original magic spells under her name, she is also the mage who has created the greatest number of original spells in history.
Like the other Magia Vander in this list, Elfaria rules over her chosen element. She cancreate and manipulate ice as she pleases, and her boundless creativity makes her stand out from the others. She finds ways to use ice magic in unique ways that have never been used before, which often catches her opponents off guard. This creativity and imagination is also why she can create so many original magic spells.
3Zeo Thorzeus Reinbolt
The Thunder Magia Vander
In a lot of ways, Zeo is the perfect opposite of Elfaria. Unlike Elfaria, who finds joy in tinkering with her ice magic and finding new and exciting ways to use it, Zeo is the type of person who goes with his guts. He would rather dive headfirst into danger than waste his time planning and strategizing.
The same holds true for how they wield their magic. Elfaria likes to weave complex layers of magic spells to create a devastating barrage of attacks. Zeo, on the other hand, rarely uses any spells. More often than not, all he does iscloak himself with thunderand go on a rampage. Zeo is one of the rare mages who specializes in close-quarters combat.
2Cariott Incindia Wiseman
The Fire Magia Vander
Cariott Incindia Wiseman is the most pragmatic person among the Magia Vander. He always makes judgments based on logic and what he considers the best for the situation. That is why he is the temporary leader of the Magia Vander while Aaron Masterias Oldking is absent from his duty.
Cariott’s main element is fire. He isthe best fire mage in the world,but for a different reason from the other Magia Vander. Ellenor has once-in-a-century talent. Elfaria has countless creativity and imagination. Zeo has an unparalleled instinct and bravery. As for Cariott, he simply has an absurd amount of firepower. In his hands, a simple fireball spell has enough power to destroy a building. He rarely needs to cast complex spells because his basic spells already pack more than enough punch to take down most opponents.
1Aaron Masterias Oldking
The Light Magia Vander
Although the four previous Magia Vander are ranked in different positions in this list, their power is fairly equal. The only exception to this situation is Aaron Masteria Oldking, the Magia Vander who commands the light. Aaron is the oldest and wisest of them, and isthe leader of Magia Vander and the King of the realm.
Light magic is the rarest magical element of all. Only a handful of people have ever been blessed with this element in history, and Aaron is by far the strongest light magic user known in this world. The other Magia Vander respect Aaron not only due to his massive power, but more so because of his wisdom. He can stop disputes between two Magia Vander with his words alone, which goes to show how much the others respect him.
Aaron doesn’t have much chanceto showcase his true powerin the first season ofWistoria: Wand and Sword.Audiences only see a fraction of his power when he single-handedly annihilates hordes of high-level monsters with a single spell. Hopefully, he gets more chance to shine in the second season.
