Baldur’s Gate 3 Drops To Historically Low Price Until September 9
This offer has now returned to Steam nearly two months later, courtesy of theLarian Studios Publisher Salethat kicked off in early September 2024. The promotion saw the game once again drop to $47.99, matching its lowest-ever price. This discount will only be available until 9am PT / 12pm ET / 3pm CET on Monday, September 9, which is when the overarching publisher sale is planned to conclude. Historical precedent suggests thatBaldur’s Gate 3is unlikely to hit a new all-time low price until late 2024 at the very earliest.
The promotion saw the game once again drop to $47.99, matching its lowest-ever price.
Although Larian has long been releasing enhanced editions of its games, the developer has already confirmed thatBaldur’s Gate 3won’t be getting any paid DLC, so patient gamers don’t have anything to hold out for here, content-wise. At the same time, the company is still in the process of expanding on its game, which has been receiving some fairly substantial free updates for over a year.
The latest of these debuted in the form ofBaldur’s Gate 3Update 7on September 5, coinciding with the start of Larian’s ongoing Steam sale. This release introduced new evil ending cinematics, additional legendary actions for the hardcore Honour Mode, and a varied array of bug fixes and performance improvements, on top of other novelties. Update 7 also includes the official modding tools for the game, which fans have been requesting since the RPG’s early access days.
Many Other Larian Games Are Currently Discounted on Steam
Aside fromBaldur’s Gate 3, this early September 2024 promotion also introduced deep discounts on quite a few other titles, including most ofLarian’s best games. E.g.,Divinity: Original SinEnhanced Editionis currently available at $7.99, or 80% off, whereasDivinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Editioncan be picked up for $13.49, which is a 70% discount. Both of these offers bring the prices of their respective games down to their historical lows. Other highlights from the ongoing sale include 85% discounts onDivine DivinityandBeyond Divinity, which are now available for $0.89 each. Meanwhile, Larian’s 2013 real-time strategy gameDivinity: Dragon Commandercan presently be picked up at 85% off, or $5.99.
