One of the new features introduced inDragonflightthat was brought over forThe War Withinis the Renown system. It’s essentially a modernized version of the old Reputation system, with rewards that carry across your account based on yourRank with each Faction.
Once you havereached Renown Rank 3with the Severed Threads faction, which should happen naturally by completing the main Azj-Kahet storyline, you will unlock the newWoWPacts system. This system allows you to pledge your services to one of three leaders within the Severed Threads, each with its own progression track for unique rewards.
This guide explains what these newWoWPacts are, and what rewards you can expect to earn from each of the three Pact leaders as you gain Standing with them.
What Are WoW TWW Pacts?
Choose One Each Week For New Rewards & Renown Progression
Essentially, Pacts are a bond between you and a chosen leader to take on activities like World Quests in the Azj-Kahet to improve your Standing with them (and progress your Renownwith the Severed Threads) and unlock Pact-specific rewards.
There are three Pacts you may pledge yourself to each week: The General, The Vizier, and the Weaver, who you will have met while completing the main Azj-Kahet story. As you progress every Pact, you will be rewarded with new abilities you can use in Azj-Kahet, Pact World Buffs, new quests, Titles, Mounts, and access to previously-inaccessible areas.
To pick up a Pact for the week, speak with the Severed Threads Quartermaster in the Weaver’s Lair within Azj-Kahet. Once you have made yourThe War WithinPacts choice, it will apply to your entire account.
This means you cannotgrind out reputation on your Altsbetween all three every week – you are locked to yourTWWPact choice until the weekly reset on Tuesday morning EST.
