Field of Mistria’s Early Access has plenty of gameplay for players to dig into. You’ll likely spend the first season doing story quests and side quests to build up Renown and Affection with the townsfolk. InMistria, you can donate certain items to the museum. Doing so will reward you with Renown and, when you reach a milestone, new furniture and crafting recipes.
Digging up Artifact Spots with the Shovel is a quick way to farm Artifacts, but there are some that can only be found in the Mines. Tidestone is an artifact that can only be found in the Tide Cavern section of the Mines. While you can donate a Tidestone to the museum, you’ll need another one for a side quest.

Tide Cavern (Mines)
You can find a Tidestone from Artifact Spots inthe Tide Cavern part of the Mines. The Tide Cavern goes fromFloor 21-39. Unfortunately, the Tidestone is an uncommon drop and doesn’t appear on anyspecificfloor. Your best bet is to start from Floor 20 and go down from there. Check if the floor has an Artifact Spot and if it doesn’t, take the ladder back up and use the elevator to a different level.

Digging up Peat, Sod, or Clay increases your chances of finding an Uncommon or Rare Artifact the next time.

You don’t need an upgraded Shovel to dig up rare artifacts, meaning you can keep the Worn Shovel if you don’t have the materials or Tesserae tomake a Copper/Iron/Silver Shovel.
Where to Use Tidestone
Request for a Tidestone
As mentioned, you’re able to donate a Tidestone to the museum. This will count towards the Tide Cavern Artifact Set. You’ll need the following to complete the Tide Cavern Set:
You will need to deliver x1 Tidestone to Dozy in order to complete “Request for a Tidestone.” This request appears on the board in any season. Completing this request rewards you with 450 Tesserae and 20 Renown. Since Tidestone is needed for the museum, you’re able to either donate the first Tidestone and search for another, or you canfarm two and turn them in at the same time.
Even though Juniper is the one that posts the Request, you must give the Tidestone to Dozy for it to count. Dozy can be found in the Bathhouse on every day except the Spring Festival.
