The Casting of Frank Stoneis a game by Supermassive Games, known for otherhorror inspired narrative gameslike TheDark Pictures Anthology. It is also a spin-off of the wildly successfulDead by Daylightfranchise. This is quite the double whammy for players of both these franchises.
A game’s enjoyment and length can be extended by giving playerssomething to collect, as it encourages exploration and looking around every corner.One such collectable type are Relliks, which are based onDead by Daylight’s horrifying killers.
Chapter 1: The Hillbilly
After a conversation between Sam and Tom, Sam will find himself in some underground tunnels. As you push the story forward, you will eventually find a space you can crawl through. Do not crawl here, instead, turn to the right and follow the wall to some pipes you can vault over. In this small space there will be the Rellikbased on Dead by Daylight’s Hillbillyon the floor. This will be the first on many real treats forDead by Daylightfans, as they will never know which of these iconic killers will pop up next.
Chapter 2: The Huntress
At the start of the chapter, immediately make your way up the stairs to the second floor of the house — do not go back down these stairs or you risk progressing the story forward. You will see a table with a candle on it once you get to the top of either staircase. Investigate this spot to find a torn piece of paper. This will be a piece of piano sheet music, meaning you will now need to go find a piano. Turn left and follow the path. You will go up some more stairs and find a pair of doors along the right wall.
You will find a piano in this room, that when played, will open a secret passageway. Head all the way down the stairs beyond this passage and open the door at the bottom. You will see another door, but do not go through it just yet. You will find The Rellikbased on The Huntresson the floor of the room you have just entered — next to an old armchair.
Chapter 3: The Trapper
Players will have a choice to make, to either go to the Drugstore or the Curiosity Shop. Players must select to go to the Curiosity Shop where this Rellik will be. Once the player can move, head straight to the counter, and then turn right to go all the way to the back right corner of the shop. This is where the Trapper will be located.
Chapter 5: The Wraith
Progress through the chapter until you get to a cutscene where Robert will list out all the things in his backpack to show how prepared he is. Follow him in the tunnels until you see a yellow circular grate. Follow the wall on the left instead of following Robert, you will squeeze through an opening and find the next Rellik, The Wraith. If you missed your chance to get this Rellik, fret not, as The Cutting Room Floor can be used to revisit any and all locations with Relliks that you might have missed. This also lets you enjoy many of the branching story options to see how things may have turned out differently.
Chapter 5: The Clown
Scary clowns are a staple in the horror genre, so its no surprise to see one here. The second Rellik of this chapter will come shortly after you have to make a choice between “Restrained” and “Casual” after the characters are done filming the final scene at the mill. Robert will be saying how much his father would disapprove of his actions. During this scene, head towards the 2 doors opposite where you start, but then take a right turn before reaching them. Take a left turn to enter a room with a small space you can crawl under. Go to the end of this new room and turn left to find The Clown Rellik on the floor.
Chapter 6: The Legion
Progress through chapter 6 until you pick up a key that sets your objective to find a place to use it. You will find this key after going up numerous stairwells. Follow the shelves of books until you find a ladder next to a chair. This Rellik will be close to the chair. This key is an important story item found at the very top of these stairs, so as long as you don’t go down any stairs, you won’t miss your chance at picking up this Rellik.
Chapter 8: The Nurse
Just like Clowns, there is just something terrifying about a distorted and/orhorrifying nurse inspired creature. After wrapping up the last chapter as Madison, you will start the following chapter as Linda. Progress the chapter until you enter a storage room filled with old film reels and the objective of finding Sam.
Walk away from the door you entered while looking at your left, and you will see a lamp on the far wall. Walk towards this lap while looking at your left. You will see The Nurse lying on the floor in the corner between two shelves after a box of shirts you can interact with.
Chapter 9: The Doctor
The game will jump back to the past to follow young Linda at the mills. Progress the chapter to where you enter the tunnels after shutting off the boiler. Head down all the stairs and eventually you will find a ladder. Do not go up this ladder, it will cause the game to jump back to the manor in 2024.
Instead, go through the door on the right of the ladder and crawl under the small archway while following the right wall. You will come to a room with a door on the opposite side you crawled from. Open this door and push aside the piece of metal ahead of you to find a room with a cage in it. The Doctor Rellik can be found in this cage.
Chapter 12: The Twins
Progress the chapter until the cutscene where the knife dancer music box plays and follow the path that opens up. There will be several flights of stairs with a red light that you will need to go down. You will find a hallway with a grammar phone on the side you come out of. Follow this hallway while looking at the right side, and you will find The Twins standing on a table.
Chapter 13: The Spirit
Progress the chapter until you find and pick up the camera. Continue to move deeper through the tunnels, and you will find plenty of archways with grates. One of these archways will not have a grate on them, vault through it. Follow the right wall, and you will find another that you can vault through. Keep following the right wall again, and you will find The Spirit Rellik on the floor.
Chapter 14: The Trickster
Keep venturing through the woods and interacting with all the various events that are lingering within it. You will eventually hear Augustine’s monologue as you approach an orange glow from a nearby fire. Follow the right side, and you will find a pathway that deviates away from the orange glow with a white door in the middle of nowhere.
Go through this door and the Rellik will be on the ground. If you see a passage that you will need to squeeze through with a fire on the other end, turn around, and you will see a path that is not the way you came from — this is the path the door is on the other end of.
Ending: The Champion
You will acquire this Rellik at the end of the game without any interaction on the players' part.
