Crop Sample Location In Remnant 2 The Dark Horizon DLC

To find the Crop Sample, you must travel to a dungeon in The Dark Horizon DLC called theDetritus Foundry, located on the eastern side of theAgronomy Sector. You’ll need to progress through the early stages of theAgronomy Sectorbefore using a glider to reach this part of the map. Once inside the Detritus Foundry, you can find the Crop Sample, located in a circular room not far from the World Stone dungeon entrance point, as pictured on the map above.

This zone is heavily guarded, so use caution when approaching the area. If you’re traveling through the dungeon from a different side, watch out forRemnant 2’s N’Erudian Reaper, the main boss of the Detritus Foundry dungeon. Defeating this boss also rewards you with theReplication Pod, a crafting material to construct theHarvester Bots weapon modthat gives siphons enemies, granting 1% of base damage dealt as Lifesteal per stack, which stacks up to five times.

What To Do With Crop Sample In Remnant 2 The Dark Horizon DLC

Once you haveRemnant 2’s Crop Sample in hand, there are several things you can do with it and there are at leastthree different choicesto pick from in total, as outlined below:

Choice One - Red Statue

you’re able to take the Crop Sample into the room below the spot where you found it. You can access this via the nearby elevator as pictured on the map above. This takes you to a central atrium with a red and a blue statue on each side. However, you can only plant the Crop Sample by one statue - red or blue. There is also a nearby recording to play next to a corpse, which outlines how you have a choice to make with different possible outcomes.

If you decide to plant the Crop Sample next to thered statueby interacting with the soil and selecting the Crop Sample, you’ll have to fight amini-bosscalledThe Inverted Shambler. However, it might not appear straight away as a possible time-delay puzzle and secret in theRemnant 2The Dark Horizon DLC. In this case, try exiting to the main menu and re-enter the zone again. As soon as you approach the red statue this time, the Inverted Shambler appears along with other possible enemies from the room above. You’ll have to beat the Inverted Shambler to pick up theRepercussion Mutatoras a reward. The video below shows how to reach the statue room and what happens when you pick thered statue choice:

After the fight, the Crop Sample notably disappears, so it seems it might be the case that you can only plant it once, so choose carefully. However, this is yet to be confirmed.

TheRepercussion Mutatorincreases ranged damage by 3% with a max of x5 stacks. Irrespective of which statue you choose, you can also pick up one ofRemnant 2’s AmuletscalledQuantum Memorynear the corpse, which reloads your equipped firearm when performing a combat slide, with a Perfect Dodge reloading both guns, along with some other collectibles and goodies in the nearby chest, like aHealth Regeneration Relic Fragment.

Choice Two - Blue Statue

Alternatively, you could plant the Crop Sample next to theblue statuein the same room to get theGossamer Heartas a reward, a Relic thatincreases your evasion window by one. This is undoubtedly the easier option of the two choices, as you won’t have to fight anything to get it. Again, you might need to exit to the main menu and re-load the area for it to spawn.

Choice Three - Give The Crop Sample To The Cook At Ward 13

A third option is to take the Crop Sample back toWard 13and give it toDuane the cooknear the World Stone. Some players report this unlocks theNumbing Agent, a consumable that increases the amount of damage you may take before chipping into gray health. You can also grab theChef Amuleton returning.

Some players are also reporting that you’re able to plant the Crop Sample in thegardenatWard 13.However, the outcome of this decision currently remains unknown.
