One of the key gameplay features thatGreedFall 2players should be totally aware of is calledMechanics. This impacts a lot of what happens throughout your playthrough, and it is one of the talents players can upgrade as they progress throughGreedFall 2.
Investing some points into Mechanics early on can really help make completing certain actions much more efficient. As the player explores the world, they’ll earn points that they can spend on Talents. This guide will go throughhow Mechanics work inGreedFall 2.
What Are Talents in GreedFall 2?
As mentioned, there are five different Talents in which players can invest points in.Each one grants the players different abilities, such as crafting, being stealthy, and more. Each of the Talents can be seen below:
The Talents that you invest in will depend largely on your preferred playstyle. That said, if you aren’t sure which one best suits you, it’s worth investing points evenly across the board to make your character somewhat balanced across all the Talents.
How Mechanics Work in GreedFall 2
Each point in Mechanics will grant the player more benefits centered around disarming and crafting traps. Traps can be a thorn in the player’s side. It’s very easy to accidentally stumble into a trap, causing quite a lot of damage to the player. Not only that, but in some situations, a trap can be deadly.
There’s no need to invest all six points into Mechanics, as the first couple of tiers will give the player everything they need, especially early on.From the second point, players will be able to craft some of the early game traps and recover traps while disarming them. This can be rather useful as some traps can be relatively costly.
Each point invested into Mechanics will help increase the chance of the player being able to disarm the trap. Failing to disarm a trap can cause injuries to the player. For the most part, traps are located in areas where there are nearby enemies. So, if you accidentally set off a trap, you may end up going into fights having already taken some damage.
Also, decisions play a big part in how the story unfolds. The player will encounter many situations where they must make a quick decision. Not all of their decisions will be successful. There’s no guarantee that things like freeing NPCs from traps will work. So, if you haven’t invested any points into Mechanics and try to save an NPC from a trap, you may make things worse.
