Throughout your journey in the brutal world of theWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2campaign, you’ve likely faced some tough-as-nails bosses, such as thebullet-spongy Helbruteor the relentlessCarnifex. Another boss that surely tested your mettle must be Imurah in Voidsong (Operation 4) — the second-to-last level of the campaign.
Players who enjoyed that encounter will be thrilled to know that you’ll face him again in the final level,Dawn’s Descent (Operation 5). However, this time, he has a few new tricks up his sleeve. The guide below details how to easily defeat Imurah once again inWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
Encountering Imurah In Dawn’s Descent (Operation 5)
The second and final encounter with Imurah occurs at the absolute climax of the campaign. After you reach a mysterious location known asBeyond the Rift, a realm outside space and time, you will be searching this strange environment forLord Calgar. A cutscene will trigger, revealing Imurah and showing Calgar battling a horde alone. Once the cutscene ends, the final boss fight begins. Like previous bosses inSpace Marine 2, this fight is also quite bullet-spongey.
Defeating Imurah For The Second Time
In this final battle, you won’t be fighting just Imurah. Joining him in the fray is amassive, birdlike creature. In order to win the battle, you need to understand each phase of the fight and learn how to effectively counter both Imurah and the birdlike creature’s attacks.
Phase 1: Imurah’s Attack Pattern
The fight begins with Imurah as your primary opponent. He’sfar more elusive than before, as he uses teleportation to rapidly reposition and keep you off balance.
Melee Attacks Are Superior To Ranged Attacks During Phase 1
Go for melee attacks on Imurah when you may, as they hit much harder than gunfire. Just be sure not to get too greedy. Land a few hits, then back off to stay safe.
Going for melee is safest when Imurah is focused on your teammates.
Phase 2: Bird-Like Creature’s Attack Pattern
After wearing Imurah down for a while, he will vanish, and a massive birdlike creature will take his place as your opponent. Don’t worry about losing progress — the health bar remains the same, indicating that you’re still in the same overall fight.
You willswitch between fighting the bird and Imurah. Imurah’s attacks remain mostly the same, but the bird introduces new moves.
Watch Your Ammo Consumption During Phase 2
Throughout the fight, an ammo box will be floating on theright side of the arena. Staying near this ammo box can be a lifesaver, allowing you to quickly refill your ammo and get back into the action without losing momentum.
Reaching The Final Cutscene In Space Marine 2
As the fight nears its end, youdon’t need to fully deplete Imurah’s health. Once his health drops to just below a quarter, the boss fight will automatically conclude, signaling the end of the battle. After the fight, you will be transported to a new area that’s much darker and filled with illusions.
This section is more of a narrative sequence than a combat-heavy encounter, but you will still need to stay on your guard. Push forward through the illusions until youfinally meet Lord Calgar. Along the way, you’ll have to defeat a few swarms of enemies and parry some final attacks from Imurah. As you move toward the bright light in the distance, a final cutscene will begin.
Congratulations, you have now finished the gameand are just moments away from the credits screen.
