In Universal Studios, guests can visit Diagon Alley and buy wands as well as magical candies. In Universal Islands of Adventure, visitors can see Hogsmeade and ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Of course, it all wouldn’t be complete without the Hogwarts Express that transports guests between the two lands. In the official 2024 showcase video, Universal shared details for the entirety of the Ministry of Magic expansion. Guests will be sent back to 1920s Paris, where they can continue to cast interactive spells as they have in other wizarding sections of the parks. This means new shops in the magical district of Place Cachée, as well as dining experiences based on French cuisine. But guests don’t only get to experience the streets of a magical Paris. From there, they can take the Floo Network from the series to reach the 1990s British Ministry of Magic, faithfully adapting from the books, much like thenewHarry PotterHBO show promises.
Experiencing the New Ride: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry
The Ministry of Magic is where visitors can join Harry Potter during the trial ofthe villainous Dolores Umbridge. Here, guests will experience the new ride, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. The ride includes moments from the movies as well as new content to expand on the popular franchise. Even the line is themed with detail, including scenes like Harry’s locker while he’s training to be an Auror and the Hall of Ministers showing the history of the wizarding world stretching over the decades. The ride then takes place after boarding a lift, where riders will see a wide cast of characters, both old and new. Imelda Staunton even returned to play Dolores Umbridge for the attraction, so there are sure to be interesting cameos throughout the ride.
Universalhas made incredible rides surroundingHarry Potterin the past, and fans have a lot to look forward to once the newest addition comes out in 2025. While a lot could change leading up to the opening date, the concept seems to be very promising.
