InUNDEFEATED, players face off against three powerful bosses who cause destruction to the city, and the protagonist has to deal with them while ensuring that the city is not destroyed. All the boss fights share a lot of similarities, with a few slightly different attacks. These fights can be long and tedious, causing players to redo the battle over and over again.
The whole game takes less than an hour to beat, but players can still complete challenges and save the town by clearing fires or saving the civilians for some extra Hero Points. This guide includes details on the bosses and strategies for beating them easily.
All Bosses & How To Beat Them
After defeating the tutorial boss, you must face three different element bosses to complete the game and trigger the ending. All the bosses have the same attacks, so players do not have to worry about learning how to deal with more attacks. The three bosses are:
As the protagonist is invincible in the game, the boss destroys the city instead. There will be a counter on the top right showing the city’s current health, which, upon reaching 0%, causes the player to redo the fight. Throughout the fight, the boss will attempt to fly away from you while throwing projectiles at the buildings. These projectiles linger for some time before fading away. You should use your Ranged Attacks to stun the boss, allowing you to fly in and start using your close-range attacks.
You canacquire the Superspeed abilityfrom the power transformer northwest of the map. This allows you to run extremely fast, but that is of little use in a fly battle.
Occasionally, the boss accumulates power and throws a giant projectile down on the ground. If you are close to the boss, you will see a prompt that you must press to prevent massive damage to the city.
It would be best if you did not solely focus on the boss because sooner than later, the counter for the city’s destruction will start going down faster, causing the fight to fail.
Whenever the counter is below 50%, you can remove the lock-on and start using your ranged attacks on the fires/lightning on the builds. Every fire removed will repair the city by 10%. Do not stay far away from the boss too long, as the boss also has an attack where he starts a beam aimed at the ground, which destroys the city little by little, and the boss must be interrupted during this animation.
Using Heat Vision To Cheese Boss Fights
After defeating the Fire Boss, you will watch a cutscene where a meteor lands on the ground. Going southwest of the map allows you to interact with the meteor and gain theHeat Vision power in UNDEFEATED. This power has a 5-second duration and cooldown and can be used to take out bosses with ease. Staggering the boss at range is much easier and you can then follow up with a close-range combo to take out a bar of the boss’s health.
After the game is finished, you can retry the boss fights, which will be much easier now that you can use the Heat Vision ability.
