Summary
The 11th episode ofTower of Godwas a very eventful, emotional episode for many of the characters involved, asa fated encounter between Ilmar Beniamino and his brotherCassano has become the arena for the unfortunate reunion of Khun Aguero Agnes and Jue Viole Grace; no, the Twenty-Fifth-Bam.
Viole’s appearance and hairstyle pulled the wool over Khun’s eyes for a while, but it didn’t take long for Khun to notice that the “FUG Slayer Candidate” wasn’t doing a great job at being the bad guy; not to mention the fact that Xia Xia, the rabbit-eared lady who put out a hit on Khun is right there with them. Khun learns that the team he put together is a complete sham as it becomes clear that their pursuit of the Devil of the Right Arm was an attempt at orchestrating his death.

The Invisible Hand of FUG Is Everywhere
As it turns out, everything about Khun’s team’s goal of finding and defeating the Devil of the Right Arm was a ploy by FUG, who have been threatening the lives of Bam’s friends to ensure his cooperation in their agenda. As such, the team that Khun meticulously put together and ascended the Tower with over the course of multiple years wasmostly made up of FUG agentspretending to be on his side. Apple and Michael stayed behind from the mission to kill off the other teammates. Dan is unfortunate because things like this are exactly why he didn’t want to join a team and climb the Tower. Xia Xia the informant sent Khun and the others to the Hand of Arlen, which she’d booby-trapped in order to ensure the likelihood of killing Khun and his teammates.
Before Viole arrives at the Hand of Arlen, Ilmar sustains a horrible injury at the hands of Cassano, who was pretending to have been knocked out during the clash against Novick and Khun Ran. Cassano and Xia Xia planned the encounter, killed Ilmar and are going to take his body somewhere. Viole finds Ilmar dead and thinks he was killed by Novick and Ran, with Xia Xia deliberately accusing them in an attempt to manipulate Viole into taking them out in a fit of anger. Ran and Novick try to beat Viole, but he shows them that he’s in a whole other league. The fight suffered from more of the same animation quality issues that have plagued this season ofTower of God, but at this point, it’snot a series one watches forsakugaor visuals.
The Fated Reunion
An Unfortunate Set of Circumstances All Around
Khun Aguero arrives at the scene after discovering who sent the messages to his lighthouse about the fact that he and his friends have walked into a trap. Viole is taken aback by his presence, but then Xia Xia shows threatening messages from FUG, preventing Viole from being able to reach out to or talk to his friend. Forced to act like some kind of villain, Viole is once again threatened with the deaths of his friends if he doesn’t cooperate. Xia Xia reveals a detonator and threatens to blow everybody to pieces. She then reveals to Khun that she had been working together with his teammates, Apple and Michael, who were actually FUG agents. Novick lunges at Xia Xia but Viole uses his ability to cause an opponent to seize up using Shinsu, stopping them in place as he catches the detonator. This move caught Khun Aguero’s eye, and upon seeing it, he remembered thatthe chatbot, EMILE, told him that Bam is still alive.
Due to the threats from FUG, Viole is forced to give Xia Xia control of the situation, and she destroys the Hand of Arlen. As the structure crumbles around them, Viole screams at Khun, telling him to run away. At the Team Khun headquarters, Gyetang has been poisoned and Dan bound. To make things worse, it appears that Rachel knew about Apple and Michael’s deception, going as far as to beg them to join their side. She asks them not to hurt Dan because he’s supposed to be “her legs”, but he scoffs at her for saying that while standing solidly on her ten toes. In a fit of rage, Rachel stabs Dan multiple times. In this episode ofTower of God, not only is Viole too late to help Ilmar, whom he shouldn’t have allowed to leave on his own in the first place, but he can’t even reach out to Khun after seeing him for the first time in almost eight years, and he’s even being forced to abandon his teammates to accompany Xia Xia and Cassano less than two months before the Workshop Battle; and Ilmar was betrayed by the brother he was looking for, in an interestinglayering of misfortune and conspiracy.
