There are a lot ofincredible and fantastical animalsto discover inThrone and Liberty, including the giant, flying whale known as the Gigantrite. Players will likely spot this great aerial beast early on in the game as it makes its way through the skies over the land. However, this creature is not a constant presence while playing,as it only spawns what appears to be every three hours. Fortunately, the game will send out a server-wide message when it appears so that players know it’s coming.

Among the bravest and most ambitious of players, many may wonder if this majestic animal can be riddenlike others in the game. In a great turn of events, the answer to that question isyes. If players are able to meet a couple of requirements, they can hop aboard the Gigantrite and ride it through the clouds. This guide is here to explain how to do that.

Throne and Liberty - Gigantrite

How To Ride The Gigantrite

In order for a player to be able to ride the Gigantrite, there are a couple of things they need to do beforehand. Thankfully the process doesn’tinvolve using any weaponson it.

First, the player needs tounlock the game’s Glide Morph ability, which allows them to transform into flying creatures. This is unlockedthrough completing quests, defeating bosses, and completing codex entries. Players can also purchase them from the shop. It doesn’t really matter which Glide Morph a player unlocks or uses, as long as it can fly far enough for them to get to the Gigantrite.

Second, players will need to have access to theStarlight Observatory Ruins. These can be found to the northwest of Vienta Village and east of Kastelon. Once these ruins have been unlocked, players will be ready to board the Gigantrite.

To accomplish this, players will need to climb to the top of the ruins and wait for the Gigantrite to come by.They just need to look for the tallest tower in the ruins; this will be the best bet to have the right angle to get to the Gigantrite. Its flight path will take it right through this area. Once players see it flying by, they just have to jump off of the vantage point they’re on and glide to it using their Glide Morph.

It can be a little tricky when doing this, and sight lines can be tough. There will probably be plenty of other players who are doing the exact same thing, which makes lining up your gliding path a little tough. This can be especially frustrating, because if a player misses their chance to land on the Gigantrite, theywill have wait another three hours for it to spawn again.

However, with some luck, players can land on the Gigantrite’s back. It may not be the most interactive of rides that a player can have, but it does offer a stellar view of the world and will alsounlock the Little Friend in the Sky codex entry.
