Summary

A new, cleverly assembled customDestiny 2player costume has fans of the now-dormantDeus Exseries calling for a series revival. The costume was created using customized armor for aDestiny 2Titan Guardian, and adds to the game’s growing collection of impressive player-created costumes.

Times are tough for fans of theDeus Exfranchise. Despite the original game’s secure reputation as one ofthe best cyberpunk games ever made, misfortune and disappointment have dogged the sequels, often for reasons largely unrelated to the quality of the games themselves. Earlier this year, a planned sequel to the modernDeus Extitles (includingHuman RevolutionandMankind Divided) was canceled by the franchise’s current owner, Embracer Group. At the moment, there are no signs of a plannedDeus Exfollow-up game or a new project in the same setting.

Fans continue to hold the torch for the series, though, including one player on the DestinyFashion Reddit community known as BaxxBreaker. They recently shared a customDestiny 2Titan Guardian costume based on 2016’sDeus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Destiny 2 Deus Ex Costume Inspired by NPC Prague Guard Character

BaxxBreaker’s costume is based on the angular, futuristic body armor worn by guard NPCs found inDeus Ex: Mankind Divided’s rendition of the Czech Republic city of Prague in 2029. Prague serves as the home base forMankind Dividedprotagonist Adam Jensen, and an outpost of Task Force 29, an international anti-terrorism task force founded in the wake of theDeus ExAug Incident. One of the key visual features of the Prague guards is a protective helmet that uses an opaque, angular faceplate. BaxxBreaker replicates the look using the Midnight Exigent Helm, a Titan helmet based on the technology ofDestiny’s Rasputin. The second major visual feature of the Prague guard is a prominent, angular chest plate that functions as a neck guard. The Siegebreak Plate, aDestiny 2Season 11 visual ornament for the Holdfast Plate chest piece, serves to evoke that same quality.

The rest of BaxxBreaker’sDeus Exoutfit is completed by the arm and leg pieces from theDestiny 2Veteran Legend armor set, which was added on June 24, 2025, as part of theDestiny10th Anniversary celebration event. Based on the originalDestinyGuardian class concept art, the angular armor shown in the Veteran Legend set fits perfectly with theDeus Exsci-fi aesthetic. The whole outfit is rendered in black and white via the Metro Shift shader.

Fellow fans on Reddit praised BaxxBreaker for their work and their accuracy in evoking theDeus Exvisual style. Others recalled fond memories of theDeus Exgames, promising to revisit them, and lamenting the fact that the series is currently dormant. Others recommended alternative games to theDeus Exseries, includingindie titles inspired byDeus Exto players looking for a new game for their cyberpunk immersive sim fix.
