Summary
Nightingale Realms Rebuiltbrought a lot of new things to try, andthe game looks cooler than ever, so players might be struggling to pick one of the new gimmicks to try first. With so many changes, and things to do, the priority is always to get used to the feel of the new mechanics and used to the lay of the land.
The following examples are five things that players should try first in theNightingalewith theRealms Rebuiltupdate. From combat changes that are an absolute blast to a new and improved progression chart to discover. Better grab an Umbrella: it’s time to explore the Fae Realms.
1New Weapons And Combat Mechanics
The Bow Is So Much Fun To Play With
When players return toNightingaleafter theRealms Rebuiltupdate, they might notice some positive changes to the combat system that include new weapons and attacks, as well as general rebalancing of the combat mechanics. Trying all these new and cool weapons like the throwing knives, the bow, and the improved (not so new) scythe, they’ll notice that the game has greatly improved. The bow is incredibly fun to play, though it requires arrows, of course. It has a small backward jump-shot skill triggered with the secondary fire button that propels the player backward, and this makes playing the bow as a main weapon a blast.
The old dash ability from the knife is gone, but the Climbing Picks now have a new (and cool) ability that is activated with the secondary attack button, and launches the picks toward rocks and ledges, allowing players to save themselves from falls or climb to higher places. Meanwhile, the Scythe secondary attack throws the weapon like a boomerang, causing damage in an arc and triggering critical (headshots) to every enemy it hits in their vulnerable spot. It is one of the most fun things to try, and it can be combined with the Throwing Knife Satchel to create the ultimate throwing build.
2Progression Chart Is The Best
More Comfortable And Intuitive
Previously, players had to work hard and earn essence to trade it for new technologies bought from specific merchants they had to seek through the realms. If they weren’t lucky, they could have gone for hours searching for a specific recipe and never found it. But with the new Progression Chart, players can unlock technologies progressivelyfrom anywhere, and use the essence they farm to do it. On the downside, players cannot earn bunches of essence by recycling items anymore, except in certain cases like crafted gear or loot from chests.
But they can also find Abandoned Equipment to unlock the recipes for free, so there’s a whole new reason to explore abandoned settlements and hidden places in the Realms. This means less time being concerned about roaming endlessly looking for traders, and more time effectively exploring the Fae Realms and finding cool and unusual things. Way to go!
3More Realm Cards, And New Effects
Adds A Lot Of Replayability
Realm Cards were always the main attraction ofNightingaleand a cool way to change the world around players by manipulating certain effects and procedurally generated content. The best thing about Realm Cards is thatplayers can choose when and where to use them. Through the Realm Card Machine that is placed in most Portal Crossroads and other Important POIs, they can alter the world on the go without having to search for hours for the correct realm.
The good thing is that new and improved versions of the original Realm Cards are now available, and players should experiment with them as much as they want since they can basically control how the world is shaped around them. If they run out of Realm cards, they can always use the Enchanter’s Focus to craft more. Isn’t that convenient?
4More Base Building Options And Better Crafting
Payers Can Create Their Dream Home In The Fae Realms
When players place their Estate Cairn for the first time, they will gain access to a reliable and intuitive base building system, and with the update, some of the building mechanics have been improved. The interface is more intuitive now, and the progression system to unlock new structures and materials is also great.
The overall effect of the update causes players' homes to grow alongside themas they progress further down their adventuresthrough the Fae Realms, with cool-looking structures to unlock, and practically limitless creativity to enjoy. Though the first unlockables might seem rough and crude, the later building options are stylized and charming, ideal for those who want to enjoy a comfortable life in the wilds. Crafting is more malleable, and players can create many powerful objects without concern about augments since they’re no longer needed to unlock recipes. Instead, they provide useful bonuses to crafted gear, which is great.
5The Exploration Is Bigger And Better
The World Looks Alive And Dangerous
They say the smallest of changes can cause a ripple effect on the final product, and they’re not wrong. With so many small improvements, like the quality of shadows, the AI of enemies, and the overall addition of new flora and fauna, the Realms look great. Even animals have offspring, and packs of them are more realistic, with fawns and bucks roaming around the forests, and chasing them adds to the hunting experience.
But new puzzles, ruins, and sites of power, alongside improved settlements with NPCs and quests at the players' disposal, are great as well. Exploring is more gratifying, the Realms feel bigger and more alive than ever. This also means they can be more dangerous, and players should pay close attention to the way they move through the environments. Every point of interest has been revamped and improved, its rewards as well, and with the addition ofstoried Realms with their singular quest lines,Nightingaleis better than ever.
