Summary
This article contains spoilers for One Piece’s Egghead Arc.
One Pieceis the longest-running anime of all time and has subsequently produced some of the most visually stunning and exciting fights in its genre. With each passing episode, the Straw Hats are starting to feel even more unstoppable — continuously overcoming insurmountable odds that once seemed impossible in the early days of theEast Blue Saga.
But it’s not always smooth sailing for Luffy and his legendary crew. At times, their grandiose clashes in the serieshave been so one-sided that there’s little room for debateamong fans about who precisely dominated the battle. From Fleet Admirals to Warlords of the Sea, there have been more than a few occasions where the iconic pirates have been completely outmatched.
10Luffy Vs. Bellamy
Winner: Monkey D. Luffy
After seeing Bellamy’s “Spring-Spring” Devil Fruit in action, it seemed as if facing him would’ve taken more than just Luffy to get the job done. However, despite the long buildup to Bellamy’s first attack against the Straw Hat Pirate Captain (most of which he spends berating Luffy) - all it took was a single well-timed punch from the aspiring Pirate King to take him down.
Without even having to use his Devil Fruitto do so - it’s safe to say that the results of this fight were decisive. Though flashy, Bellamy was going to need a lot more than just the Spring Fruit to take down Luffy.

Winner: Roronoa Zoro
When Pica, with some help from his Devil Fruit, hid himself deep within the confines of a mountain - The Straw Hat Vice Captain Zorocoated his weapons in Armament Haki, cutting the entire structure into pieces to find him.
In one last desperate attempt to hold off the Green-Haired sword wielder- Pica coated his entire body in Haki and charged Zoro, before one swift attack ended the fight, with Pica having been successfully defeated byZoro’s secret sword technique. The fight seemed to be more of a side story for Zoro, as he never seemed to be in any real danger, and at no point did it feel like he was anything other than frustrated by Pica’s hiding.

8Usopp Vs. Perona
Winner: Usopp
Due to already being so negative towards himself, Usopp was rendered almost entirely immune to Perona’s attacks. This moment of realization turned the tide in his favor when he was able to use his “Ten-Ton-Hammer” to defeat Perona.
It was afantastic moment for theoften downtrodden Usopp’s character development, with him weaponizing his own misery for the sake of his crewmates, showing just how much heart really goes into everything he does.

Winner: Blackbeard
Having had the effects of his ‘Flame-Flame’ Devil Fruit completely negated by Blackbeard’s own “Dark-Dark” Fruit- the long-time fan favorite, Ace, was essentially powerless when facing off against one of the future Warlords of the Sea.
Knowing that his chances of winning this fight were slim, the fiery Ace still gave it his all, proclaiming that he’d “Make Whitebeard king” whilst charging up his finalFlame Emperor ability. The two Devil Fruit users clash ina final show of power, leaving Ace defeated - and Blackbeard victorious.

4Kizaru Vs. Supernovas
Winner: Kizaru
The first time seeing Marine Admiral Kizaru in action showcased just how potent his “Light-Light” fruit really is.Though, calling this a fight is generous- asnot one single member of the Supernovas was capable of even scratching Kizaru- due to his invulnerability to all forms of physical damage.
The sheer strength and speed of Kizaru’s attackswere so far ahead of the Supernova crew’s own, thatthey weren’t even capable of comprehending them. The wrath of the Marine Admiral proved far too much for the Supernovas to handle.

3Strawhats Vs. Aokiji
Winner: Aokiji
When the Straw Hat Pirates went head-to-head with Marine Admiral Kuzan (Better known by his alias, “Aokiji.") it quickly became clear just how outmatched the group was. When faced with the wielder of the “Ice-Ice” Fruit, every hit that seemed to successfully land on Aokiji would backfire on his opponent, leaving them completely frozen.
Even during his one-on-one fight with Luffy, Kuzan almost immediately overwhelmed the Straw Hat Captain. This was a fight where the crew had no real chance of winningand were only spared by the mercy of theirice-cold adversary.

2Zoro Vs. Mihawk
Winnier: Dracule Mihawk
Mihawk didn’t seem at all unsettled by Zoro’s “Pitiful” threats of victory, unsheathing a miniature dagger hidden in his necklaceto face the “Three Sword Style” user. Up until this point, fans hadn’t really seen anyone physically get the better of Zoro in a fair fight. However, when face-to-face with the Worlds-Strongest-Swordsman,Zoro was given a glimpse into just how far he’d have to go to achieve his goal.
Encountering someone as immensely skilled as Mihawk this early in their journey, it’s no surprise that Zoro stood little chance in the clash. Zoro was left gravely wounded, and fans were given an insight into what exactly lies beyond The Grand Line.

1Shanks Vs. Kid
Winner: Shanks
When Shanks, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea, was faced with an overly confident Captain Kid, an incredibly brief battle ensued, which resulted in Shanks dominating victory. Through his unmatched use of Conquerors Haki, The Red-Haired captaincompletely overwhelmed both Captain Kid and his entire crew with one swift strike.
This incredible feat showcased just how big the gap in power was between the two, and that even when using the extent of his “Magnet-Magnet” fruit’s abilities,Captain Kid was no near match for everyone’s favorite one-armed rogue.
