Genshin Impactis known for its unique and engagingweekly boss fightsthat tie in directly with the lore. While these enemies have important significance in the story of the game, they have also become household names when it comes to the pinnacle ofGenshin Impact’scombat system. These weekly boss fights are sporadically released, which makes their arrival a big feature in any update.
These unusually powerful enemies feature unique and captivating skills, majestic arenas, and beautiful soundtracksthat truly sell their status as foes to not be messed with. As of today, ten weekly boss fights are available for players to challenge, with each one offering a thrilling experience.
10Stormterror Dvalin
Erstwhile King Of The Skies
Stormterror Dvalinhas the unfortunate honor of coming in last place on this list. The very first weekly boss introduced in the game alongside Andrius, the Dvalin boss fight has not aged well over the years. It is simply too easy of a fight nowadays thanks to a plethora of characters available that can easily take care of Dvalin.
Even casual players with a relatively decent team should have no trouble defeating Dvalin. While it is a visually cool boss fight, the laughable difficulty and lack of skill expression makes it the least interesting weekly boss in the game.
9Andrius
Dominator Of Wolves
As mentioned earlier in the list,Andriusis the oldest weekly boss in the game, alongside Dvalin, having been released in Version 1.0. Much like Dvalin, Andrius' difficulty has plummeted over the years. The Dominator of Wolves is nothing more than a DPS check nowadays, one that is easily vanquished by a semi-decent team.
The arena, soundtrack, and stature of Andrius make it a cool standoff. However, he is very easy to defeat, and the boss fight should hardly last more than two minutes for most players.
8Childe
Eleventh Of The Fatui Harbingers
Childewas easily the hardest boss fight when his Trounce Domain was released in Version 1.1. It was so hard for players back then that HoYoverse adjusted the difficulty of the boss fight. Ever since then, the Childe boss fight has been one of the easiest fights in the entire game. Almost any team can defeat the Eleventh Fatui Harbinger with little to no trouble.
One of the upsides of this fight is that it is a traditional 1v1 with very few moments where Childe goes invulnerable. It is a classic and simple duel between frenemies, but that is the most it has to offer, as it pales in comparison to other weekly bosses of a similar nature.
7Guardian Of Apep’s Oasis
The Wrath Of The Dendro Sovereign
Guardian of Apep’s Oasisis one of the more recent weekly bosses in the game, having been released in Version 3.6 as part of the second chapter ofNahida’sstory quest. The arena where this fight takes place is gorgeous, but the battle itself is more tedious than enjoyable.
A good half of the fight is spent dealing with mobs threatening the revitalization of the Heart of Oasis. Once this is done, the second phase of the boss fight begins, which is nothing special either. It is one of the weaker designs in terms of boss fights and doesn’t bring anything new to the table.
6Azhdaha
Sealed Lord Of Vishaps
Azhdahais one of the most majestic boss fights inGenshin Impact. The grand soundtrack, and the intimidating presence ofZhongli’sformer friend makes it a very fun battle. However, a major problem with this boss fight is the amount of times Azhdaha can go invulnerable, forcing players to wait it out.
Additionally, Azhdaha has a very limited moveset despite being able to harness various elements. All of these factors make Azhdaha the only sixth-best weekly boss in the game, despite being one of the better bosses from a visual perspective.
5Everlasting Lord Of Arcane Wisdom
Shouki No Kami, The Prodigal
The Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom, more commonly known asScaramouche, is easily one of the largest weekly bosses in the game. While the first phase of this boss fight isn’t anything to write home about, the real deal starts to kick in during the second phase.
Scaramouche is able to summon powerful attacks, including a one-shot ability that players will have to respect. However, this boss fight has a unique feature where the Neo Akasha Terminal will constantly damage Scaramouche.
Additionally, a lot of this boss fight is spent running to dodge attacks, with the Neo Akasha Terminal doing most of the work in terms of dealing damage. The Scaramouche boss fightis a grand spectacle that is brought down by its largely non-interactive nature.
4La Signora
Rostam’s Beloved
La Signorais an very well-designed boss fight with two distinct phases. The first phase featuresthe Sheer Cold mechanic, while the second phase sees La Signora become the Crimson Witch of Embers, complete with a fiery new moveset.
Both phases feature excellent music and movesets that feel rewarding to duel against. Signora also has minimal invulnerability throughout both phases. This boss fight is one of the best designed battles in the game; a perfect example of simple yet effective.
3All-Devouring Narwhal
Surtalogi’s Pet
If La Signora’s boss fight was simple, theshowdown with theAll-Devouring Narwhalis anything but that. Fighting this behemoth of a creature constantly flying around is a bit annoying, but the sheer beauty of the beast and the arena makes up for it. While it doesn’t have the best moveset by any means, there is a feeling of grandeur when battling the Narhwal.
The second phase is the main reason why this boss fight ranks so high on the list. The otherworldly dubstep music and the extremely captivating design of the Shadow Warrior inside the Narwhal make it an intense 1v1. When combining both of these phases, the third spot on this list feels like a fair placement for the All-Devouring Narwhal.
2The Knave
Father Of The House Of The Hearth
The Knavesecures the runner-up spot on this list, as it is an extremely simple yet efficient duel. There are no convoluted mechanics to worry about; it is merely a test of strength, laid down by the Fourth Fatui HarbingerArlecchino.
The first phase doesn’t have any outstanding features, but it still has Arlecchino whipping out some flashy moves. The second phase, where Arlecchino becomes the Cinder of Two Worlds' Flames, really dials up the boss fight’s intensity.Arlecchino can deal ridiculous damageand wipe out characters at a moment’s notice if players aren’t careful.
However, it is still a fair fight, as proper dodging and finding windows to deal damage can eventually put her down. For these reasons, the latest weekly boss inGenshin Impactis also one of the best.
1Magatsu Mitake Narukami No Mikoto
Raiden No Inazuma Tono
Magatsu Mitake Narukami No Mikoto,or theRaiden Shogun boss fight, is still the best weekly boss inGenshin Impact, and has been since its release in Version 2.5. The unique setting of the fight, the two phases, and a plethora of moves make it a very engaging and fun battle. The rock-based soundtrack, featuring Inazuma’s leitmotif, further adds to the whole atmosphere of the fight.
Both phases of this boss fight have a wide variety of moves that make them stand out among the rest. This was the first weekly boss that introduced a one-shot mechanic, and it is one of the most breathtaking visuals in the game.
Almost everything about theRaiden Shogunboss fight is executed to perfection. It also manages to strike a perfect balance in terms of difficulty, making it a very accessible weekly boss for all players to enjoy.
