Summary

Stamina is a precious resource inBlack Myth: Wukong. It depletes quickly whether attacking, running, jumping, or attacking most of all. It’s one of the most valuable tools in The Destined One’s arsenal. In the early game,Stamina Recovery Rateis an essential stat for players to dedicate some of those precious sparks to —especially if they’re looking to take down that pesky Wandering Wight.

A solid Stamina Recovery Rate is crucial for new players starting their journey westward inBlack Myth: Wukong. It forms a strong foundation for any viable build in the game, enabling players to replenish their stamina much faster after it’s been depleted. This allows The Destined One to get right back to doing what they do best: hitting things with a pole. Let’s look at how players can get their Stamina Recovery Rate up to scratch.

Black Myth: Wukong Everlasting Vigor upgrade

1

Effect

Slightly increases Stamina Recovery Rate when depleted.

This is the earliest way players can improve their Stamina Recovery Rate. Being a foundation skill,Everlasting Vigorcan essentially be unlocked with the player’s second Spark. It’s hard to miss, but it can easily go overlooked given how much more appealing and flashy some of the other early-game skills can look.

Though not as ‘cool’ as otherskills players can level into in their early hours of play, it’s vital. It has a low unlock cost and is easy to obtain. Even though it’s not a significant improvement, it’s a noticeable start.

Black Myth: Wukong Foundation talent tree with Deep Breath selected.

2

Each Talent Level moderately increases Stamina Recovery Rate

Despite not being available until further into The Destined One’s journey,Deep Breathwill be one of the main ways players will upgrade their Stamina Recovery Rate, especially in the later parts of the game.

It can be upgraded up to six times, though each time this talent is awakened, it will cost players 2 sparks. It can become slightly more costly in the long run, but remember,Sparks can be returned to the player at any time,so if a specific build isn’t working out, it can always be reset.

Black Myth: Wukong Swift Bat Spirit Vessel

Weaker Spirit, Powerful Passive

How To Obtain

Near the Valley of Despair Shrine, beyond the First Prince of Flowing Sands arena. Keep heading through the cave until reaching a narrow hallway with a crack in the wall that the Destined One can squeeze through. The Swift Bat enemy will appear, and its Spirit can be absorbed and equipped upon its defeat.

Equipped Effect

Moderately Increases Stamina Recovery Rate (+10)

Despite not being the most ‘viable’ in its offensive capabilities assome of the more powerful spiritsplayers will have attained up to this point, the equipped effect is undoubtedly vital for those looking to bolster their Stamina Recovery.

Swift Batis the best spirit for players looking for the least amount of downtime against the disparaging Tiger Vanguard. The passive boost to Stamina Recovery is great, and the Spirit Vessel attack is a solid bonus for that extra bit of damage.

Black Myth: Wukong Destined One Speaking To Xu Dog

5Celestial Pills

Costly But Effective

Though players will need to jump through a few hoops in Chapter 2 to unlock Xu Dog’s crafting station,Celestial Pillsare by far the easiest way to increase their Stamina Recovery Rate.

Players will need Mind Cores to unlock them, a valuable resource inBlack Myth: Wukong, and Celestial Pills become increasingly expensive the more players wish to upgrade a certain skill. Xu Dog’s crafting station will most likely become the go-to for players wishing to upgrade this stat as they find themselves traveling further west. Though mind cores are rare, they can, at certain points, be purchased from Shrines or Xu Dog himself - for a price.

Black Myth: Wukong Fine China Tea Bowl Curios

Much Needed Reward For The Pagoda Realm

Along the main path of the Lower Pagoda Realm in Chapter 3, just past the long staircase leading up, there’s a small chest containing this Curio.

Moderately Increases Stamina Recovery Rate

Those waking up in the deeply-stressful Pagoda Realmwill no doubt be scrambling to get out as quickly as possible, given the constantly shrinking health bar and a myriad of Yaoguais that seem never-ending.

Though not exactly ‘hidden’ by any means, with just how stressful this leg of the journey west is, many players can overlook theFine China Tea Bowls. For those that do find it, however, it’s an incredibly valuable Curio that deserves an equipped slot for its effects on Stamina Recovery Rate.

Black Myth Wukong: Focused Breath Skill

Each talent level considerably increases Stamina Recovery Rate when Health is above half.

Focused Breathis great for keeping the pressure on at the start of fights. When The Destined One’s health is above half, there is a noticeable increase in the speed of the player’s Stamina Recovery Rate.

Black Myth: Wukong Non-Void Bossfight

Though the effect obviously dissipates once health is lowered below 50%, a few swigs of a Gourd can get this effect straight back into full swing. Anyone looking to get the most out of their Stamina should dedicate their trusty Sparks to awakening this talent.

Dodging Isn’t Always Easy

Defeat the Non-Void just beyond New Thunderclap Temple. Players will need to use the Snow Fox Brush, which can be found on a body in the Forest of Felicity, in order to make the Non-Void hostile.

Recover a moderate amount of Stamina upon being hit.

This Spirit’s equipped effect is incredibly useful for those times when players take a few more hits than they may have initially bargained for.

Whether it’s a quick rebuttal attack or just dodging away, theNon-Void Spiritwill no doubt bring some fights back from the brink, providing The Destined One with that much-needed bit of extra stamina. Though it’s not recommended for players to take damage, it’s unavoidable; at least this Spirit softens the blow.

Black Myth: Wukong Plantain Fan Spirit Vessel

Devastating Vessel, Invaluable Passive

How To Attain

The Plantain Fan is a Vessel rewarded to players upon completion of Chapter 5.

Active Effect

Conjure a tornado that can attack and immobilize enemies caught in it’s AoE.

Moderately Increases Stamina Recovery Rate.

One of the most powerful Vesselsthat players will obtian along their journey inBlack Myth: Wukongis thePlantain Fan. Though not usable until the final chapter of the game, its attack becomes invaluable against bosses, essentially stun-locking them upon use, allowingThe Destined Oneto get some valuable attacks in.

The Equipped effect acts as a powerful buff to Stamina Recovery Rate, too. Seeing as players don’t get many opportunities to increase this stat, thePlantain Fan is no doubt one of the most powerful tools in The Destined One’s arsenal, and there’s very little reason to not have it equipped the majority of the time.
