Summary
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2has dominated gaming ever since its release earlier this month and has players and critics raving about how much of a total package the game is. Bringing the grim dark universe ofWarhammer 40kto current generation systems,Space Marine 2provides a grueling double-sided campaign and a multitude of ways to play through it. Players will shoot, slice, bludgeon, and stomp a bloody path through the cosmos as they race to prevent Choas from taking another victory over the emperor’s chosen.
As players progress through the game and begin engaging in operations, they will have the option to create custom loadouts for their chosen class. While every mission is different, and ultimately, players should pick the weapons they enjoy inPVE or PVP, some base boxes can be checked and allow players to perform adequately. Here are some of the best loadouts for balance inWarhammer 40k: Space Marine 2.
Plasma Pistol
Power Sword
The Bulwark is one of the primary melee classes in the game and spends all of its time on the frontlines facing down Tyranids and Chaos Marines. However, there are a number of situations where the Bulwark will need the right tool to remain viable in a mission.
Specifically, against flyingenemies such as the Zoanthropes or Nurothropes, the Bulwark loses lethality. While the Power Sword is one of the best melee options for swarms on the ground, falling back on the Plasma Pistol for its charged shot is an excellent tool against enemies out of melee range and is great for stunning tankier targets.
Heavy Bolt Pistol
Thunder Hammer
The Assault class is one of the most enjoyable classes in the game, and the Thunder Hammer is a great tool for demolishing all enemies on the path to the objective.
With a great damage radius and powerful stun potential, most ground-based enemies will be turned to mush by the strikes from the hammer. However, the Thunder Hammer lacks considerably in attack speed and leaves a lot of openings. A quick roll and pulling out the Heavy Bolt Pistol for its hard-hitting projectiles are great for creating some breathing room for a wind-up attack.
Bolt Pistol
Combat Knife
Lethal to most anything down range, the sniper class can clip the wings of most enemy typesinSpace Marine 2with one or two shots. The sniper has two primary options when taking on missions, the Bolt Sniper or the La Fusil. The Las Fusil is the dominant option with its only drawback is it needing to charge before firing. But nothing matches a headshot from this high-powered laser rifle.
With so much DPS heading to far-away enemies, the Las Fusil is not what a player would want when trying to snap a few stragglers who made it past the frontline. The bolt pistol is a great partner because of its rate of fire, which can fend off minors. In addition, if faced with a small swarm, the combat knife is suitable for cutting them to pieces and even dueling with a Tyranid warrior if need be.
Not Available
The Heavy classinSpace Marine 2is the juggernaut that sends a rain of bullets down range to priority targets and to thin down heard of minor enemies. A good Heavy knows to control their shots and conserve their ammo, but that is not always easy in higher-difficulty missions.
The one place a heavy never wants to be is in a swarm, and while a roll will only get players so far. The Bolt pistol is a great tool and easy to switch to when enemies begin getting too close to give the heavy enough time to reposition.
The Vanguard is an excellent class for tracking down major enemies and turning them into lunch meat. Great for single-target damage and dueling, the loadout of a Vanguard should match it.
Of its mid-range options, the Instigator Bolt Carbine is great for its scope option and burst fire, making sure that players can make their shots count. The Bolt Pistol compliments the carbine nicely, and the Combat Knife is the best tool for the job as they are fast-acting deterrents while a Vanguard is in the fray from a zip line or just a rush of enemies in general.
Chainsword
Tactical is the all-rounder class ofSpace Maine 2, and as a jack of all trades and master of none, it’s best to have the best option for each occasion. The Plasma Incinerator is a great, heavy-impact weapon for taking down powerful foes at a distance, even athigher-level operations.
While the Bolt pistol is the only secondary available to the Tactical class, it is best suited for its physical damage trait and fast rate of fire compared to the ammo-hungry Plasma incinerator. A Chainsword is the icing on the cake for the moment a Tactical decides to leap into melee range and cut down some chaos marines.
