Peter Parker and The Green Goblin in No Way Home.

Despite Doctor Strange’s warnings,Peter Parker didn’t hesitate to help his multiverse enemies inNo Way Home, which included Willem Dafoe’sGreen Goblin. However, in the middle of the film, his heroic actions were used against him when Norman Osborn reveals that his evil personality was in control all along. The ensuing battle between both characters is as heartbreaking as it is intense, and for all the best reasons.

Green Goblin gives Spider-Man a brutal beat down, while telling him over and over why he’s not worthy of wielding the powers that he has. It’s a violent and ruthless fight with a heavy emotional significance that eventually led to the tragic death of Aunt May. While Norman’s words and actions had a negative effect on Peter, he still managed to recover from this encounter and came back for a rematch during the film’s climax.

7Spider-Man Vs. Mysterio (Far From Home)

Mastering His Spider-Sense At The Best Possible Moment

Mysteriois a truly fascinating supervillainwho relies less on brutal force and more on mind games and visual trickery to face Spider-Man. Fortunately, this was a key element of the character that was adapted inFar From Home, and was perfectly displayed during the movie’s climactic final battle.

Thanks to Mysterio’s multiple holograms, the entire scene is one giant spectacle, but the final encounter on the bridge is one of the best moments inSpider-Manmovie history. After getting tricked by the villain over and over throughout the film, Peter finally learns to master his Spider-Sense to avoid the illusions and take down both the drones and Quentin Beck in an exciting action scene. Not to mention that this is a satisfying conclusion to Peter’s character arc in this movie.

6Spider-Man Vs. Green Goblin (Spider-Man)

The Tragic Conclusion To An Intense Rivalry

As the character’s first foray onto the big screen, it was necessary for the firstSpider-Manmovie to conclude with a memorable final battle, and Sam Raimi and his team certainly did not disappoint. Norman Osborn used to be like a father to Peter Parker, which made the reveal of his identity as theGreen Goblinall the more tragic to both Peter and the audience. This intense rivalry finally comes to an end during their final encounter.

Green Goblin usually has a brutal and violent fighting style, which is perfectly displayed during this battle; he gives Peter a beating, but Spider-Man manages to stand back up and use his intelligence and abilities to defeat the ruthless villain. The most memorable moment of this fight, however, is when Norman tries to trick Peter into thinking that he has gone back to his normal self, a dirty trick that ultimately sealed his fate when the hero used his Spider-Sense to dodge Green Goblin’s deadly glider, sending it flying toward the villain instead.

5Spider-People Vs. Prowler, Doc Ock, Tombstone, And Scorpion (Into The Spider-Verse)

A Chaotic Free-For-All Inside Aunt May’s House

InInto the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales meets some bizarre alternate versions of Spider-Man from other universes. So, after Prowler chases him back to Aunt May’s house, all the Spider-Persons get their chance to display their powers and abilities in a chaotic battle against Kingpin’s goons:Doc Ock,Tombstone,ScorpionandProwlerhimself.

The medium of animation has always been a great fit for Spider-Man, and this movie is obviously no exception. The choreography of this battle is exciting and dynamic yet easy to follow, with a lot of characters showing off their unique abilities and saying some hilarious lines. This is not all about the Spider-People though, since the villains also shine during this fight. Sadly, this is ultimately quite a brief encounter, but it was also a small taste of whatInto the Spider-Versehad to offer.

4Spider-Men Vs. Lizard, Sandman, And Electro (No Way Home)

An Epic Love Letter To The Spider-Man Movies

At the end ofNo Way Home, longtime fans finally got to see the three live-action versions ofPeter Parker (portrayed by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland)not only sharing the screen, but also fighting together against their old enemies in one amazing final battle.

Witnessing the Spider-Men fight againstSandman,LizardandElectrois not only very nostalgic, but it’s also satisfying, because they don’t just use mindless violence. Instead, they come up with brilliant strategies that allow them to cure the villains so they can return to their original universes. The small interactions between each villain and their respective movie universe version of Peter perfectly tie everything together. This is what Spider-Man is all about: helping other people, and looking great while doing so.

Miles blasts Miguel with his venom.

Miles was not going to let his father die just because it was dictated by the laws of the multiverse,so he had to go against the word ofMiguel O’Hara and his Spider-Society. This resulted in one of the most ambitious set pieces ever brought to life on film, and it definitely delivered on its exciting promise with its detailed animation, wonderful cinematography, and beautiful soundtrack.

The initial chase scene is absolutely hilarious, with a lot of fun cameos by unique Spider-People that add a lot of charm to the action, but it concludes with the final encounter between Miles and Miguel on top of a moving train. While at first, the situation seems bleak, with Miguel ruthlessly beating Miles down and telling him that he was never supposed to become Spider-Man, Miles reveals what his plan was all along: to drive the Spider-Society out of their HQ so he can sneak back in and return to his dimension. This moment is as epic as it is satisfying, and it proves that Miles Morales is more than worthy of bearing the title of Spider-Man.

2Spider-Man Vs. Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man 2)

One Of The Most Legendary Fights In Movie History

Doctor Octopus, as portrayed by the great Alfred Molina inSpider-Man 2, is one of the best comic book villains ever put on film. He is clever, cruel, and has an established relationship with Peter. Tensions between the two get quite high throughout the film, which leads to an amazing battle during the second act. They start off by fighting at the top of a building and go tumbling over the edge, but everything changes the moment they fall on to a moving train filled with passengers.

Sam Raimi knew how to use this set piece to construct an exciting and intense battle, with incredible action and unique cinematography. Doctor Octopus even uses some dirty tricks, like throwing innocent passengers at Spider-Man, forcing him to pay attention to multiple things at the same time. The villain eventually escapes by destroying the train’s brakes, which results in one of the most iconic scenes in movie history. Spider-Man stops the moving train by himself and saves everybody, just like the true hero that he is.

Miles blasts Kingpin with a Venom Blast.

1Spider-Man Vs. Kingpin

The Perfect Conclusion To An Emotional Character Arc

Miles Morales’ arc inInto the Spider-Versewas mainly focused on proving to the world that he was more than capable of being the new Spider-Man of his universe. That’s exactly why his final battle againstKingpinwas so important: Not only did he have to use his new powers to stop the villain who killed his uncle Aaron, but he also needed to do it without letting his emotions take over; and he also had to effectively shut down the Super-Collider at the same time.

The final result is absolutely incredible, as the machine is cleverly used in order to bring a ton of color into the scene, and it even forces Kingpin to face his own demons. The atmosphere is intense, the cinematography is astounding, and the incredible music makes the viewer feel like Spider-Man can do anything. Kingpin does land a few powerful attacks, including the move he used to kill Peter Parker, but Miles eventually comes out on top with the help of his father. The moment in which he uses his uncle’s “Hey!” move in order to defeat Kingpin with a powerful Venom Blast cements this as the bestSpider-Manfight ever put on film.
