Summary
A newStardew Valleyplayer has had some impressive luck, landing a weapon that’s fantastic at lower levels of the game. The find has other players surprised, with several chiming in at how helpful it can be during the earlier stages ofStardew Valley.
AStardew Valleyplayer can play the game without ever really engaging in combat if they so choose, but there are a lot of benefits to be found in the game’s dangerous areas. Mobs inhabit the mines and caves inStardew Valley, as well as other locations, including the player’s farm if they choose theWilderness Farm. Defense and attack equipment can be bought or found, with this one in particular not being available through any means other than fishing.
Stardew Valleyfan tararosedraws took to the game’s subreddit to share how excited they were over their luck in the game after fishing up aNeptune’s Glaive. TheStardew Valleyswordis pretty powerful, especially at lower levels, offering 18-35 damage per hit, +2 defense, +4 weight, and +25 crit power, with the only drawback being -1 speed. This fan managed to get one while fishing in the area south of the player’s farm.
How Rare is Neptune’s Glaive?
Long-term players have probably seen this weapon in their playthrough, but it’s nonetheless a rare drop. to get it,Stardew Valleyplayers have to be level 2 or higher in fishingand pull in a treasure chest with their fish. Pulling in a treasure chest essentially doubles the difficulty of the mini-game, especially at lower levels, as there are two bars the player has to successfully fill in order to grab the chest and their fish. At lower levels, the standard fishing bar is significantly shorter, making it harder to pull in a catch at all. However, this particular weapon only has a measly 0.6% chance of being in a standard treasure chest.
The community has been very impressed with this new player’s catch, and emphasized how it’s going to be a big help in the mines. A few players noted that they had also managed to get this sword fairly early in the game, and that it was quite helpful to them. Several noted that it was one of their favorite weapons in terms of appearance. Later in the game, theGinger Island forgewill become available and it will be possible for tararosedraws to merge two weapons, so if they like it, they can keep the appearance of the Neptune’s Glaive but improve its stats when they’re no longer enough for the higher-level enemies of the game.
