The game’s original roster consisted of only Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot, with each having their own unique playstyle. With the release of each season, a new playable character has joined the roster, with Joker andMrs. Freeze added toSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewith the launch of the first and second seasons' content, respectively.
The newest character to joinSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s rosterwas announced via thegame’s official Twitter pageon September 26. The youngest daughter of Michelle Torres and fellow teammate Deadshot, Lawless made her first appearance in the comics in the first issue of 2005’sDeadshotVolume 2. Within the DC multiverse, there have been several iterations of Lawton throughout the years, though she remains a rather obscure character who hasn’t received a lot of attention from the writers during her run, making her an enigma to all but the most hardcore fans of the comic franchise. Interestingly, the Twitter post seems to use an alteration of her first name, which is normally spelled Zoe.
Some fans who have been following the game’s seasonal content predicted Lawless' inclusion in the team since before the game was released in February. One leaker, Miller Ross, predicted in January that the first fourcharacters introduced in upcomingSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice LeagueDLCwould be Joker, Mrs. Freeze, Lawless, and Deathstroke. With the confirmation of Lawless coming to the game on October 1, that only leaves Deathstroke yet to be revealed, with Killer Croc and Katana next on deck for release in 2025.
If the formula set by the first two seasons remains consistent, the third season will likely add some new maps and story content that will see the team traveling to another realm, where they will likely encounter Lawless and add her to the ranks. Not much is known about the Season 3 content so far, but the reception to the announcement of Lawless' addition has been lackluster, with many fans waiting for the more popular characterDeathstroke to be added to theSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueroster.
