One Piecehas no shortage of powerful characters. Most of them are equipped with dangerous Devil Fruits, giving them an advantage over their opponents. A few of them have even mastered the use of Haki and successfully incorporated it into their Devil Fruit attacks.
However, some strongOne Piececharacters have failed to win any major fights in their lives. In some cases, it was because they were matched against much stronger opponents. Other times, they were just unlucky, and their fights were interrupted. No matter the reason, these characters just couldn’t break their duck.
The list includes characters who have not won a major fight.
7Charlotte Smoothie
Affiliation: Big Mom Pirates
Charlotte Smoothie is the daughterof Big Mom. She is one of the Sweet Commanders, which means that she is among the best fighters within the crew. Smoothie possesses the Shibo Shibo no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to drain moisture from a person’s body. To put it simply, she can drain life out of them, as if she were squeezing juice out of a fruit.
The ability is not restricted to humans. She can use it on animals and any inanimate objects as well. Despite having such a powerful ability at her disposal, Smoothie was unable to make a major impact in the Whole Cake Island arc. It was a repeat in the Wano Country arc, where she was unable to help her fellow crew members.
6Jack
Affiliation: Beasts Pirates
Jack is a member of theAll-Stars of the Beasts Pirates, making him one of Kaido’s strongest underlings. Jack was the first pirate who was revealed to have a bounty of 1 billion berries, which was a huge deal at the time. He has the power of the Zou Zou no Mi, Model: Mammoth, allowing him to morph into the prehistoric creature.
The Devil Fruit granted him immense physical strength, enabling him to fight against the likes of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi without rest. However, Jack was unable to win any major 1v1 in the series. He even reached an impasse against the Mink rulers and would have ultimately lost. To avoid this, he brought out Caesar’s poison gas and crippled the Minks.
5Marco
Affiliation: Whitebeard Pirates
Marco was the First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. He began traveling with the crew when he was still a kid. Over time, he grew stronger and earned the respect of his fellow crewmates. Marco possesses the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix,a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruitthat gives him the ability to transform into a Phoenix.
With this power, he can fly and regenerate from all kinds of injuries. Marco is also adept at using Haki, which he has proven many times. Unfortunately, Marco has been set up to fight characters much stronger than him. With the story already into the Final Saga, Marco won’t have much to break his duck.
4Jesus Burgess
Affiliation: Blackbeard Pirates
Jesus Burgess is the Titanic Captain of the First Ship of the Blackbeard Pirates. Not many people know, but he is also Blackbeard’s right-hand man. Burgess is a burly man, so he looks intimidating to his adversaries. Initially, Burgess did not have a Devil Fruit, but he acquired one after the Dressrosa arc.
Burgess possesses the Riki Riki no Mi, which is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that significantly increases his strength. Burgess is able to lift an entire mountain with his bare hands and launch it towards his enemies. Despite his insane physical abilities, Burgess has yet to win a fight in One Piece.
3Gecko Moria
Affiliation: Gecko Pirates, Thriller Bark Pirates
Gecko Moria is one of the few characters who captained two different pirate crews. Many years prior to the current timeline, he led the Gecko Pirates. But after they were vanquished by Kaido, Moria was forced to start another crew. His second crew came to be known as the Thriller Bark Pirates.
Gecko Moria possesses the Kage Kage no Mi, which allows him to control shadows. Even with a Devil Fruit at his disposal, Gecko Moria hasn’t been able to win a major fight.
2Koby
Affiliation: SWORD
Koby is a Marine Captain who has managed to gain a lot of fame in a short time. In fact, Garp believes that Koby is the future of the Marines. This is, of course, a huge endorsement, especially coming from a living legend like Garp. Koby has improved a lot since his debut. His physical attributes have become a lot better. He has also learned to use Armament and Observation Haki.
However, he has been unable to win a single major fight in the series. Koby has suffered humiliating losses to Luffy and Boa Hancock. But Koby hasn’t let the defeats affect him too much, as he still believes that he is capable of beating Luffy.
1Smoker
Affiliation: Marines
Smoker made his debut in Loguetown as a Marine Captain, but he managed to rise through the ranks rapidly and secure the position of Vice Admiral. Smoker is a recurring character who has been involved in countless tussles with Luffy. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he has made it his goal to capture Luffy.
Smoker possesses the Moku Moku no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit, giving him the power to create and control smoke at will. While it is nowherethe best Logia-type Devil Fruits, Smoker has learned to use the power efficiently. Furthermore, Smoker can use two types of Haki. Even after all his powers, Smoker has not won a major fight in One Piece. His screen time has dwindled as well, so there is no telling when fans might see him again.
