Besides trying to guessthe yearStranger Thingsseason 5 takes place in, viewers want to know about the practical effects and what Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and the Upside Down are going to look like. The actor said:
“it’s huge, of course, it’s one of the biggest seasons of television that I think we’ve seen very, very long time. And I think, a lot of people are saying it could be like a mix of [season] 1 and [season] 4 primarily. And I think that’d be a cool way of looking at it. But scale wise, it’s through the roof.”
Matarazzo also said that he isopen to starring in aStranger Thingsspin-off about his character Dustin Henderson. While there is no official Dustin-centered TV show in the works, it’s fun to hear him talk about the possibility. He said that he wouldn’t want to star in this kind of series right away but would be happy to in the future. He said, “So if you were to ask me a year from now if I wanted to come back, I’d probably be like, ‘I’m gonna do some other stuff for a bit initially’, but who knows what it’s going to be like.” He also shared an idea:
“I would love to see what would happen, what Dustin would be like as a 30-year-old.”
There has been chatter about aStranger Thingsspinoff for a while now, includingone starring Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven. According toBusiness Insider,there is an officialStranger Thingsspinoff, but no details have been shared. Since Dustin is one-half of agreatStranger Thingsduowith Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), viewers would be curious to see if the two characters would still be friends years in the future. Since Dustin is smart, kind, and curious, he would likely have a fascinating career and life at the age of 30.
