Much like in the first game,Frostpunk 2requires you to make life-altering decisions, right from the prologue. One of the first decisions you’ll have to make is to choose between two ideologies:Order and Faith.
Even though it seems pretty simple, your choice is going to set the tone for your entire leadership and influences everything from your city’s infrastructure to its social dynamics. While you may survive on either one of these paths, both Order and Faith have their own pros and cons. Read on to learn which ideology is right foryour city inFrostpunk 2.
Order vs. Faith in Frostpunk 2
There’s no right or wrong answer between the two, but your entire campaign inFrostpunk 2is shaped by your choice between Order and Faith. The point of both Order and Faith is to gain strength and stability, and give your people something to believe in.
Order focuses more ondiscipline, control, and efficiency.By following this path, you’re able to maintain order in the city and have greater control over your citizens. If you choose Order, New London will be acity of disciplinewith a more structured and productive society.
Instead of discipline, Faith prioritizeshope, community, and spiritual guidance. With these values, you can create a more compassionate and united society. When you choose Faith, New London becomes acity of devotion, complete with a new religion and clergy.
When starting off, Order seems more appealing, especially in terms of productivity and efficiency. It can lead tohigher output and faster resource production, but maintaining high levels of hope can be challenging. You’ll often have tomake tough decisionsthat may involve sacrificing individual freedoms for the greater good.
On the contrary, Faith provides a continual source of hope and has more long-term benefits. This path can unlock technologies and buildings like theField KitchenandHouse of Healing, which can considerablylower the risk of hungerand disease. These are major threats to your city’s population, and with Faith, you can make sure your people survive.
The right choice depends on your personal preferences and playstyle. If you enjoy a more hands-on approach and have your word be law, Order is the way to go. But, if you value more compassionate and community-oriented leadership, Faith is a better fit.
