The tractor, also known as the sugar cube, is one of the first vehicles that the player gains access to inSatisfactory. It has a few bells and whistles, including some inventory space, automation for picking up resources from truck stations, and an in-built crafting bench.

The maximum speed of this vehicle is 55 km/h, making itfaster than the Blade Runnersby a little bit, though it doesn’t do well on rough terrain. It’s a good option for players in the early game, and it is quite useful for automated deliveries.

You will needx5 Modular Frame,x5 Rotor, andx10 Reinforced Iron Plateto do so. After you’ve built it, you can configure it to drive autonomously on a recorded path, or take it with you for exploration into the wild.

How to Automate Tractor Deliveries

InSatisfactory, theresources are often far apart. Connecting them all together via long swathes of conveyor belts is a waste of time and resources. Instead, players can use tractors early on in the game to automate deliveries between any two spots on the map.

you may have multiple tractors working the same route to transfer more material.

To do so, the player needs to build two truck stations in each of the two locations. One truck station costs the playerx15 Modular Frame, x20 Rotor,andx50 Cable. Once constructed, players can interact with the Truck Station to select it as an unloading or loading bay. One station should be the designated loading bay, connected to a storage of materials that you want to transport to the main base, and the other should be the unloading station, connected to a storage container, or production line at the base where you need the aforementioned materials.

Each train station will require20 MW of constant energy supply. Additionally, you should connect at least one of the stations to a fuel source so that it can resupply the tractors' fuel.

After the truck stations are configured, hop into your tractor near the loading station and start recording your path using the tractor’s menu. Drive to the unloading station, and then back to the place you started from. Save the path with an appropriate name, and turn autopilot on to watch the magic happen. The tractor will automatically follow the designated route back and forth between the two stations, where it will load and unload materials.
