Such is the case with the Oni, a legendary skin for Genji that debuted in the early years of the firstOverwatchgame that has finally made a return viaa merch promotion on the Blizzard store. Right now, fans who spend at least $75 on physical merch before September 16, when the promotion ends, will receive the skin as a bonus with their order alongside their chosen items.

The Oni Finally Returns in Overwatch 2

It is a fairly high price for just a cosmetic item with no tactical benefits in-game, but given how rare Genji’s Oni skin is, having only appeared in rare promotions throughout the years, it may be worth it. The skin has appeared several times in various promotions before, such as a limited-time event inthe Blizzard MOBAHeroes of the Stormthat let players unlock both the Genji skin and D.Va’s officer outfit.

Unfortunately for internationalOverwatchfans, the promotion is only available in the United States, so players in other countries will not receive a code alongside their purchase. For those who choose to participate, though, the online store offers a wide variety of merchandise from various Blizzard IPs includingDiablo, Warcraft, andOverwatch, among other popular titles, giving fans plenty of options for the items they choose to get along withthe mythical Genji skin.

Currently, there are no known plans for the Oni skin to return in the future, so it may be a good idea to grab it while it’s around, especially for those who regularly play as Genji, as the skin is one of his most popular. For other fans, there are plenty ofother skins available in theOverwatch 2battle passand in-game store, which routinely cycles through different items.
