The PS Plus Extra game library is rotated on the third Tuesday of every month. The departing PS Plus Extra games are usually announced a month in advance through the service’s Last Chance to Play section, but Sony has recently adopted a habit of staggering this list rather than releasing it all at once. Case in point,13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimwas part ofSeptember 2024’s PS Plus Extra departures, but Sony only confirmed that it would be exiting the service alongside three more games less than two weeks ago.
All told,September 2024 saw a total of 16 games leave PS Plus Extra, but the situation thankfully looks better for October 2024, at least for now. The Last Chance to Play section on PS Plus Extra has been updated with 10 games, such asLittleBigPlanet 3,Gotham Knights,The Evil Within,Ultra Street Fighter IV, andToukiden Kiwami. A bunch ofDragon Questtitles will also be given the boot, namelyDragon Quest XI S,Dragon Quest Builders,Dragon Quest Builders 2,Dragon Quest Heroes, andDragon Quest Heroes 2.
