As the season draws near, many players have been eager to find out what the update could be. All that has been revealed is a dark in-game photo showcasing a rundown-looking shack that has a rune object sitting outside that is glowing with blue sparks. Before anything is revealed about this fall update, there are already some theories about what this new Swamp feature could be.

In the aforementioned blog post, Iron Gate Studios did at least confirm that there would be some upcoming improvements to Hildir’s camp and the wares she offers. At first, it seemed logical to assume that Hildir may be involved in the mysterious new Swamp feature, but the blog post in question emphasized that whatever is coming will be brand-new to the game. As a character,Hildir is a mysterious NPC, but she may not be the subject ofValheim’s impending Swamp addition.

A bundle of sticks formed into the shape of a rune that glows blue stands in what is presumed to be the cabin’s front yard. This could be teasing the arrival of Runic magic to the world ofValheim.Runes are prevalent throughoutValheim, but Runic magic would be an exciting turn of events for the survival title. There are already mods that bring Runic magic to the game, so the demand is definitely there for such a feature.
The diverse biomes ofValheimpresent their own unique challenges, and the Swamp can be one of the most frustrating due to dealing with Wet and Poison effects.
