The player explained that this decision was made to honor where they had found the shiny Shroomish in a more personal way. Alice’s legacy now gets to live on inPokemonform, as the player’s shiny Shroomish will now be her namesake.

They specifically shared one of the first photos they took of the Shroomish on Alice’s grave, whichhad another Pokemon photobombing thePokemon GOAR photo. This photo also displayed that the name of the person buried next to Alice was Nina. In turn, the original poster theorized that the photobombing Smeargle was actually Nina trying to get in on the action.
