Reddit user _Crotha is among manyPokemon GOplayers sharing their success in evolving a Shadow Koffing into a Shadow Galarian Weezing. Although many features andPokemon were confirmed for the Legendary Heroes eventahead of time, the Shadow Galarian Pokemon was notably absent. Like evolving a Koffing into a typical Weezing, 50 Pokemon Candies are required to evolve it into a Galarian Weezing. Players that don’t already have a Shadow Koffing can acquire one during the Legendary Heroes event. These Shadow Koffings can be found in 1-Star Shadow Raids alongside Galarian Ponyta and Darumaka, Goomy, and Jangmo.
Legendary Heroes Lets Players Obtain Shadow Galarian Weezing
As Koffing’s CP may vary, players might wish to evolve their highest-level Koffing if they intend to defend Gyms with their Galarian Weezing. Beyond having a new Shadow Pokemon in their collection,Pokemon GOplayers may choose to evolve their Shadow Koffing into Galarian Weezing for the type change. A standard Weezing is strictly aPoison-type Pokemon, while Galarian Weezing is a dual-type Poison and Fairy. The Fairy-typing adds many attacks to its arsenal, removes the weakness against Poison, and is immune to many Dragon-type attacks. The main drawback to evolving Koffing into Galarian Weezing is the Ground, Steel, and Psychic weaknesses players will have to contend with. These weaknesses may make fighting other Pokemon harder depending on their typing.
As Shadow Galarian Weezing wasn’t teased for the event ahead of time, Niantic may remove its inclusion in a hotfix. WithNiantic regularly updatingPokemon GO, this likely won’t be the last time that players can evolve their Shadow Koffing into Galarian Weezing.
