Summary

A talentedPokemonfan artist has recently created a new evolution for Drifblim. There are many talented artists in thePokemoncommunity, and the artwork made by this creator really stands out due to its quality and inventiveness.

Drifblim is a Ghost/Flying-type creature originally introduced inthe fourth generation ofPokemongames. The Pokemon, which evolves from Drifloon starting at Level 28, resembles a large purple balloon with a face. Drifblim also has a wide variety of moves. The list includes Flying-type attacks such as Tailwind, the non-damaging Ghost-type move Destiny Bond, and the powerful but self-destructive Explosion. Despite being a popular critter, the monster did not get any further evolutions or alternative forms in the official games of the franchise.

Now, a prolificPokemonfan called qobrosii has devised a new evolution for Drifblim called Hindenblim, which is clearly inspired by a zeppelin. This new design, which gained over 2,600 upvotes on r/pokemon, still keeps the same colors as Drifblim, but drastically changes the creature’s shape, turning it into a prolonged round Pokemon with four “legs” and hair that looks like smoke. In the post’s comments, qobrosii explained that the Hindenblim are often referred to as the “wailords of the sky,” and that it’s pretty hard to capture one because they often use Explosion during fights.

Drifblim New Evolution Pokemon Fan Art

Qobrosii has created several exciting designs lately, and this unofficial evolution for Drifblim is just one of them. Earlier this week, theartist shared a regional variant for Magikarp, for example. In this artwork, the famous karp-inspired Pokemon was turned into a Water/Ground-type critter that lived in swampy areas and had a chubby body and brown colors.

Last week, qobrosii also put out another amazing design,a regional variant for Hoothoot. In this case, however, the creature did not come from swampy areas, but from a cold region instead, and it still looked like an owl, but had blue and white feathers.

While qobrosii’s evolution of the popular critter looks amazing, this was not the first time that someone decided toevolve Drifblim into a zeppelin, though. Earlier this year, another artist followed a similar concept, albeit with a fairly different design, which resembled more of a real-life zeppelin and only had two “legs.” It’s not publicly known, however, if one design inspired the other one. In any case, talentedPokemonfans will likely continue to devise amazing fan art for Drifblim and other creatures, sharing their incredible work with the community.
