Summary

A creativePokemonfan has recently shared three ability forms for Diglett with the community. Diglett was one of the first 151 Pokemon introduced inPokemon’s Gen 1, and it stood out due to its unique design, in which only the creature’s head can be seen above the ground while the rest of its mysterious body is buried.

Diglett isa Ground-type Pokemon, and it can evolve into Dugtrio at Level 26. In the first two games of the franchise, it was only possible to capture a Diglett in Diglett’s Cave, near Vermilion City. The Pokemon is also known for having access to powerful Ground-type attacks such as Earthquake, and Fissure. In the seventh generation ofPokemongames, Diglett gained an Alolan regional variant, which sets itself apart due to its Ground/Steel dual type and by having some small blond strands of hair on its head, which grow after its evolution.

Now, a prolificPokemonfan artist called Matratzfratz designed three new forms for Diglett based on its official abilities in the games, and each one of these designs has a unique spin on the Ground-type creature. For example, the “Arena Trap” form transforms Diglett’s body into a huge bear trap, while the “Sand Veil” form gives a desert-inspired veil to the creature. Finally, the “Sand Force” form turns Diglett into a green, psychic monster that looks very unique.

Diglett Ability Forms Pokemon Fan Art

A few weeks ago, Matratzfratz also made ability forms for another creature. In this previous artwork, theartist imagined ability forms for Cubone, coming up with three designs that transformed the critter’s iconic skull helmet into other objects, such as a rock, a knight’s helmet, or a horned skull.

Besides ability forms, Matratzfratz creates all kinds ofPokemonfan art. Last month, for example, they createdan ancient Paradox form for Elgyem. This was an interesting piece that reimagined the futuristic Psychic-type creature as a mummy, giving it an appearance that resembled a Pharaoh in Ancient Egypt.

Other artists also love to come up with alternative designs for popular creatures such as Diglett. Earlier this year, a fan createda hilarious Grass-type variant for Diglett and Dugtrio. What set this design apart from other fan art was that Diglett was turned into Carrett, a carrot-inspired Pokemon. Hopefully, other talented fans will continue to come up with more amazing artwork in the future and share their creations with fellowPokemonfans in the community.
