Summary

APokemonfan has recently devised fan art that showcases a small collection of Poke Balls inspired by an industrial design. Poke Balls are one of the most memorable symbols of thePokemonfranchise, as they are used to capture different creatures and come in several distinct types.

Pokemonstarted back in 1996 with the release ofPokemon Red and Greenin Japan, soon spawning a TV show, a trading card game, merchandise, and more. Over the years, the franchise spawned1,025 different Pokemon over nine generations, including many mainline and spin-off games. The Poke Ball is present in essentially all of these titles, working as a technological device used in the game’s universe to capture monsters and summon them when needed.

Now, aPokemonfan called Scribble_Imp has shared their latest work, a drawing depicting a collection of five Poke Balls. The collection includes a common Poke Ball, a Great Ball, an Ultra Ball, a Safari Ball, and a Master Ball, all drawn in a way that resembles an industrial, cyberpunk style. Each Poke Ball has some memorable details, such as wires coming out of them, several glowing lights, buttons, and inscriptions. One fan even pointed out that the Master Ball had the word “regret” written on it, which is a nice detail that was added by Scribble_Imp due to them wasting their first Master Ball when they were 10 years old due to not knowing how it worked.

Pokemon Fan Art Depicts Impressive Collection of Poke Balls

While not as common as some other kinds of fan art, designing new types of Poke Balls is a pretty popular theme in thePokemoncommunity. For example, a fan createdart depicting a Sun Ballearlier this year. According to the creator, the design was inspired by the existence of the Moon Ball, which is used to capture critters that evolve using a Moon Stone.

Some other fans often craft real-life versions of Poke Balls. For example, onefan 3D printed Poke Ballsinspired by Koffing, Blastoise, and Porygon a few months ago.

Another fan work that stood out recently is thepumpkin Poke Ball created by a gamer. This design perfectly mimicked the size and style of a Poke Ball and a pumpkin, looking cute. At the time, it was theorized that the Pumpkin Ball could have an increased catch rate against pumpkin-themed monsters. Hopefully, other fans will keep creating amazing new designs for these popular devices and sharing their ideas with the community.
