A PlayStation 5 Pro With A PS1-Inspired Design
The biggest prize of the 30th Anniversary Collection isa PlayStation 5 Pro with the gray color scheme of the original PlayStation. This newly announced console revision has been a sticking point among fans for its high price tag, but this new collector’s revision could be a convincing grab for longtime PlayStation fans. The base model of the PlayStation 5 will not be receiving such a revision, though the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will receive one.
Both consoles will come with other PlayStation extras, including PlayStation-shaped cable tires, a PlayStation sticker and a paper clip, and one of 30 PlayStation posters. They will also come with a charging cable designed after the cable from the original PlayStation controller. Furthermore, as both consoles do not feature disc drives, they will both come with a PlayStation-inspired detachable cover for gamers who wish to purchasethe PS5 disc drive add-on. The Pro console will be available in limited quantities, with only 12,300 being available for customers.
A DualSense Controller With A Classic Twist
Alongside the console, Sony is also releasing an original PlayStation-inspired variant of the DualSense controller. Much like the console, this controller features a gray color scheme akin to the one seen on the original DualShock controllers. The Pro variant of the console will also come with a PlayStation-inspired version of the controller’s charging station, though no standalone release for the accessory has been confirmed.
The controller redesign will be available in both the standard DualSense formand in the DualSense Edge form. The Digital Edition of the console will come with one traditional DualSense controller, while the Pro console will come with two controllers, one DualSense and one DualSense Edge. Current PlayStation owners who only want the controller will not need to fear, though, as both variants of the controller will also be made available as standalone products.
