As such,P5Xis meant to be its own release for the region. That being said, a lot of fans have been clamoring for aninternational release ofPersona 5: The Phantom X, with this demand even surprising the developers themselves. WhilePersona 5: The Phantom Xhas already been available to play on PC and mobile devices in China and other parts of Asia, the game is finally coming to Steam, albeit only its Japanese client.

The official Twitter announced that pre-registration forP5X’s closed beta has been opened, with it releasing on iOS, Android, and PC. The Japanese client ofP5Xwill be available on Google Play Games and Steam.

Persona 5: The Phantom X Steam Release is Japan-Only, But It’s Closer to Global

While this client is Japanese-only,fans followingPersona 5: The Phantom Xwere glad they wouldn’t need to install a third-party client to play and could just do it through Steam. Moreover, since Atlus did confirm that there were plans for an international release ofP5Xat an offline event back in July, any kind of Steam release for the game is a good sign.
