Ahead of the release ofPersona 3 Reload’s Episode Aigis: The Answer DLC, Atlus has teased some of the new extra costumes that Metis will wear. The Episode Aigis: The Answer DLC is a post-launch playable epilogue that takes place after the events ofPersona 3 Reload. The story of the DLC focuses on Aigis, as she awakens to the power of the Wild Card, the ability to wield multiple Personas like the protagonist before her. She and SEES also end up being trapped in an endless time loop, taking place below Iwatodai Dorm, meeting a new Anti-Shadow Weapon named Metis.
Metis plays an integral role in The Answer, being a new party member that replaces Aigis, since Aigis is taking up thePersona 3protagonist role as the Wild Card user. Metis is the “sister” of Aigis, due to their shared nature as Anti-Shadow Weapons, and is deeply devoted to her. Notably, this is Metis' first appearance in over 17 years, as her only appearance prior to this was her debut in FES, and has never appeared in any spin-offs or re-releases ofPersona 3till now. For Reload, Metis will be able to wear various cosmetic costumes in the game, just like the other members of SEES.
These costumes were briefly showcased in a new video posted to the officialPersonaTwitter account. In this clip, Metis can be seen wearing a maid costume, the Ultramarine outfit, and an outfit based on one ofPersona 5’s Phantom Thieves. Every single female party member inReloadcan wear a maid costume, so Metis being able to wear it too is consistent with other party members. Metis' Ultramarine outfit is based on one of the Velvet Room attendants, with hers being based on Elizabeth. Lastly, Metis' Phantom Thief-themed attire is based onKasumi Yoshizawa fromPersona 5 Royal, wearing a black leotard and mask.
Metis will have a new voice actor in the English dub ofPersona 3 Reload, being voiced by Lizzie Freeman instead of her original actor, Stephanie Sheh. In the Japanese audio, Metis is played by Chiwa Saito, who is reprising her role for the first time in 17 years. Many fans are quite excited to see howReloadwill handle Metis, as the Episode Aigis DLC is looking to add a lot more interactions with her and the party compared to her original appearance in FES.
TheEpisode Aigis DLC requires thePersona 3 Reload’s Expansion Pass, meaning fans can’t purchase the story DLC by itself. On top of the existing post-launch DLC added in the Expansion Pass, the Answer also includes an extra battle against the protagonist ofPersona 5, Joker, giving fans at least a little more than just the story of The Answer by pitting them against a fan favorite character. The Answer DLC will be added to the Expansion Pass on July 25, 2025.
