A powerful Pal is more than just its attack power inPalworld. There are other things that players need to pay attention to in order to compose their team. For instance, knowing which Pals have the best defensive stats can be a great way to compose a roster. Having good defense means that the Pal will take a long time to fall, even if their attacks won’t be taking out a ton of the target’s health.
This method may be slower, but it can definitely be surer. Having high defense and solid offense can sometimes be the better option, rather than using only Pals with the heavy attack stats. This list is here to show players which Pals have the best chance of holding their own in battle.
5Reptyro Cryst
Full Defense: 1758
Filling out the list is the Reptyro Cryst which comes with both Ice and Ground element types. This powerful Pal offers a balanced approach to plenty of fights and offers a good support to throw in the battle whenever needed.
The Reptyro Cryst cannot be found in the wild. Players will need to hatch it from a Large Frozen Egg. Alternatively, it can be foundin some dungeonsaround the game’s map and can also be caught there. Players just have to fight it off long enough to weaken it before throwing a Pal Sphere.
4Knocklem
Full Defense: 1822
Knocklem earns its spot here on the list with a more-than-solid 1822 defensive stat. This is enough to weather plenty of attacks in a fight, and it can use its Ground attacks to dish out plenty of damage as well.
Knockemcannot be foundin the wild of the game. Instead, players must breed Knocklem from a Huge Rocky Egg that can be found all across the map.
3Frostallion Noct
Frostallion Noct may be one of the overall best Pals in the game thanks to its great attack and defense. It really does excel in both categories and should be considered for any team. Bringing a Frostallion Noct can be a great way to cover all the bases.
Frostallion Noct can be obtained through breeding in the game and cannot be found out in the overworld. Using an egg made by a Frostallion and Helzephyr and incubating it will hatch this mighty Pal.
2Shadowbeak
Full Defense: 1884
Shadowbeak isn’t a part of one of the game’s bosses for no reason; it has substantial defensive capabilities that bring in as the second entry on this list. Its Dark element is also useful and can back it up with some solid attacks.
Shadowbeak can be found in the No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary along the eastern side of the map. It can only be accessed by using a flying mount Pal. Be careful when trying to catch a Pal in this area as they are heavily protected by the NPCs here. When trying to catch a Pal in a sanctuary, players who get caught will have to deal with a good number of reinforcements going after them.
1Paladius
Full Defense: 1945
Paladius tops this list thanks to its incredibly good 1945 defense stat since it has leveled up completely. Its neutral type means that it may not have advantages over other types, but it is still good to fight anyone.
It can be found in the northwest desert region of the map asa Level 50 Field Alpha Boss. At this high level, a team of strong Pals is necessary to take on.
