While the conflict is officially over,Overwatchplayers have fought against the violent Omnic liberation group Null Sectorin PvE missions, before their leader, Ramattra, eventually joined theOverwatchplayable roster.
AnOverwatch 2player known as Nightwatcher2007 on Reddit shared their latest original creation, an Omnic DPS hero inspired by Null Sector agents. According to its creator, this hero is named Luna and was created by Anubis, the instigator of theOmnic Crisis that led to the creation ofOverwatch. She was designed as a Null Sector spy whose role is to assassinate key targets to give Omnics an edge in their war against the humans. Luna eventually awakened and freed herself from Anubis’ control, but still has bloodthirsty urges that led her to take on black market assassination jobs. This fan-made Omnic DPS hero fights at close range and uses stealth to reach her targets, just like Sombra and her hacking abilities.

In the comments to this Reddit post,Overwatch 2players complimented Nightwatcher2007 for this original design, and some discussed how the character’s abilities could offer new strategies for players and how Luna could become one of thebestOverwatch 2DPS heroes. Nightwatcher2007 also shared a concept for a new background Omnic NPC character named Monette, initially serving as Luna’s past version before the Omnic Crisis.
Blizzard regularly providesOverwatch 2players with new updates and additional content, from time-limited game modes to quality-of-life improvements and even new heroes. Thelatest playable character to join theOverwatch 2roster was Juno, a support hero released with the launch of Season 12 in August 2024.
