In a clip shared by player Chaset with theOverwatchReddit community, that reliable nature was demonstrated in an unusual and hilarious way. The clip involved two Reinhardt players trapped in a seemingly endless duel against each other. TheOverwatch 2Tanks and their supportsjust wouldn’t seem to go down, despite employing nearly every trick they had available.
Overwatch 2 Reinhardt Tank Duel Seems To Last Forever
Taking place in an otherwise typicalOverwatch 2Push matchon the New Queen Street map, the video follows the view of player Chaset, one of the Reinhardts involved in the duel. Chaset’s team engaged the second Reinhardt (played by FluffyPanda) while escorting the Push robot. An initial attempt to exchange Fire Strike attacks and Charges quickly devolved into a seemingly endless melee as both players exhausted their respective cooldowns and resorted to just bopping each other with their hammers. Despite both players managing to use their Earthshatter Ultimates and all the abilities they had available multiple times, neither would go down, as they were being heavily supported by their team’s healers. Chaset was backed by a Mercy and an Ana, and Fluffypanda healed by a Mercy and a Moira.
FellowOverwatch 2players were thoroughly amused by the footage of the duel, which lasted more than a minute without interruption. Some players also praised theOverwatch 2supportson both for keeping their tanks “immortal” through the whole slugging match. That said, some others lightly criticized the DPS players, who might have been in a position to break the impasse by either overwhelming one of the tanks or targeting the supports.
