This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.

Summary

The Straw Hat Pirates are some of the most powerful individuals in the world ofOne Piece. In fact, when it comes to the pirate crews that rule over the seas, the Straw Hats are clearly among the four best at the moment. This is evident from the fact that the Straw Hats are now a Yonko crew, rivaled only by the Red Hair Pirates, the Blackbeard Pirates, and, of course, the Cross Guild. Of course, different fighters within the ranks of the Strawhat Pirates have different fighting styles inOne Piece, and all of them employ whatever techniques are available to them to best their enemies.

However, Haki is at the core of the strongest bunch of them. Specifically, two characters within the ranks of the Strawhat Pirates utilize Conqueror’s Haki. That said, this might not be enough. In order for the Straw Hats to be the greatest pirates of all time, they need more conquerors.

The Current Conqueror’s Haki User In The Straw Hat Pirates

The Straw Hat Pirates are certainly special, in that they don’t have just one conqueror. This Pirate Crew has two conquerors at this point in time. Of course, the first one is Luffy. Luffy showcased his ability to utilize Conqueror’s Haki before the timeskip. He was then trained by Rayleigh in the ways of Haki, and he managed to gain basic control over all three types during the 18 months that he trained with Rayleigh. After that, Luffy slowly developed his Conqueror’s Haki further.

He made a significant breakthrough with his Haki in the Wano Country arc, where he learned from Kaido that Conqueror’s Haki could also be infused. Essentially, he was then able to battle the Yonko on an even footing. Clearly, this allowed Luffy to reach the next level, even though his usage of Conqueror’s Haki was rather rough around the edges at the moment. Ever since then, he has greatly improved his control over Conqueror’s Haki, and it goes without saying that Luffy will grow even further in terms of this power.

Comparatively, fans did not get many cluesabout Zoro having Conqueror’s Hakibefore the timeskip. However, after the timeskip, he showcased his ability in Wano Country. Specifically, it was Enma that brought out Zoro’s Haki, thanks to its special power of draining it from the user. That’s how Zoro’s Conqueror’s Haki finally awakened, and in the fight against King, he made advanced usage of this power. Zoro made quick work of King, and later on, in Egghead, he even defeated Lucci.

Currently, Zoro is a decent user of Conqueror’s Haki, but he certainly has a mountain to climb, because its usage is rough around the edges for him, and at the same time, he can’t maintain it for longer either.

While having two conquerors on the pirate crew is certainly great, it is not enough if the Strawhat Pirates want to reach the top. They certainly need more, and there are many reasons as to why that is the case.

Why The Straw Hats Need More Conquerors In The Future

There Are Stronger Crews in the One Piece World

The Straw Hat Pirates certainly need more conquerors on the crew. Now, this doesn’t mean that if they don’t get more Conqueror’s Haki users that they can’t claim the One Piece. It is more about the portrayal of the pirate crew that would suffer if they don’t have more users of Conqueror’s Haki. For instance, fans have seen many pirate crews in the world ofOne Piecewith more than just two Conqueror’s Haki users. In fact, even the likes of the Big Mom Pirates had two Conqueror’s Haki users within their ranks.Kaido also had two, if one were to include Yamato, while Shanks might just have two as well. There is nothing that sets apart the Straw Hat Pirates from the rest at the moment.

Now, one might begin to wonder as to why they need to be separated from the rest. The truth of the matter is that the very best pirate crews in the world of One Piece have multiple conquerors. This can be evident from the Roger Pirates. In Roger’s crew, fans saw multiple users of Conqueror’s Haki. Roger himself was one, as was Rayleigh. Oden joined the pirate crew, becoming its third Conqueror’s Haki user, while Shanks was the fourth. Clearly, the Roger Pirates had many powerful conquerors within their ranks, and this just goes to explain why they were so successful and why they went on to dominate the world and claim theOne Pieceitself.

Clearly, the Roger Pirates were one of the strongest crews in the entire world of One Piece. But, they were certainly not the only mighty crew with multiple conquerors. The Rocks Pirates, which fans know to have been a legendary pirate crew in the One Piece world, also had multiple conquerors. In fact,Rocks himself was most definitely a conqueror, and, under him, Big Mom, Whitebeard, Kaido, and most certainly Shiki would have gone on to be conquerors as well.

This already puts the crew at 5, but then, there is the case of Gloriosa to consider, who, just like Hancock, could be a Conqueror’s Haki user. The Rocks Pirates also had other conquerors, likely on board that fans don’t even know about and will likely never know about either. The point is that this pirate crew was incredibly mighty and dominated the seas, and showcased that by having multiple of their members awaken Conqueror’s Haki.

Similarly, if the Straw Hat Pirates were to leave all the others in the dust and assert their dominance over the current era of turbulence, they will need to set themselves apart by creating a crew that has never been seen before. That is precisely why it would make most sense for many members of the Straw Hat Pirates to have Conqueror’s Haki.

The Future Conquerors Of The Straw Hat Pirates

Sanji And Usopp Could Gain Conqueror’s Haki

In the future of One Piece, fans should not be surprised if they seeother members of the Strawhatsgain Conqueror’s Haki as well. As to who these members could be, fans know that two are certain to gain this power. The first one is none other than Sanji. Luffy. He has kingly blood in him, thanks to the Vinsmoke family, which goes back centuries. Sanji is also incredibly strong, and his ambition of finding the All Blue is one that rivals even claiming the One Piece. For a character with such a grand ambition, having Conqueror’s Haki wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest.

Similarly, there is also Usopp, who fans know often has his lies turned into the truth. Usopp has lied about having Conqueror’s Haki on multiple occasions, such as Dressrosa, and more recently, Wano. It is entirely possible that Usopp goes on to gain Conqueror’s Haki as well, and it would most certainly make sense.

One could also go on to make a case for Nami, who was recently shown to have an ability similar to Conqueror’s Haki, although as a gag. While Oda could leave it at that, it could also be something to build upon and to have her attain this incredible power, which would thenput the Straw hat Piratesat five conquerors. Essentially, all five members of the East Blue segment of the story could gain Conqueror’s Haki.
