Summary
One Piecehas already begun its next arc, and fans are incredibly excited to see the story take a new direction. Egghead was everything that Oda promised and more, and it is safe to say that it surpassed all expectations. However, it was never going to be as big as Elbaf, which had been set up in the story decades ago. Clearly, fans’s expectations from this arc are much higher, and now, it has finally begun.
Fans are eager to see more of some very exciting characters when it comes to Elbaf, and now, it appears that Oda has kicked things off in an exciting fashion. The beginning to the Elbaf arc might be somewhat strange, given that it appears that half of the Straw Hat Pirates have been abducted, but, this could simply be Oda’s way of introducing an intriguing character from Elbaf, Loki.
Loki’s First Mention In The Story
Loki isn’t some character that fans expect to randomly show up in the story. Fans know for a fact that Loki exists within the world ofOne Piece, and that he isn’t a God. Instead, Loki is a giant that livesin the land of Elbaf, and is a prince, known to be very popular. Loki was first introduced in the story during the Whole Cake Island Arc, and there, Oda mentioned that Loki wanted Lola’s hand in marriage. Something about her caught his eye, and he wanted to marry her immediately after. Of course, for Big Mom, this was a massive opportunity. Big Mom always wanted to add the Giants to her strength and, if they had joined her, she would have become the Pirate King, in her own words. The Giants would certainly have helped her tip the scales, and she might have even gone on to defeat Whitebeard. This was claimed by Big Mom herself.
Lola caught the eye of Prince Loki from Elbaf!
This simply implies that the Giants are majestic in strength, especially the likes of Loki, among the others. However, things went out of control when Lola decided to leave Toto Land instead in search of true love. She did not want her mom to control her and force a marriage on her, which essentially led to the marriage pact with the Giants simply breaking. Even though Big Mom tried to get Chiffon to marry Loki instead of Lola, it did not work. Loki noticed this and the Giants have held against Big Mom since.
Ever since then,Big Mom has carried a grudge against Chiffon, and fans know for a fact that the Giants hated her equally. It is unknown what exactly happened with Prince Loki after that, and if he ever got to marry someone at all. Perhaps, that very question will be answered in the upcoming chapters of One Piece, given that there are only a handful of characters that fans even know from the land of Elbaf. This would be the perfect opportunity for Oda to introduce a legendary figure such as Loki, and fans will finally get to see more about this nefarious individual.
Loki’s Nature Is Deceiving And Mischievous
Loki Could Be Messing With The Straw Hat Pirates Right Now
Fans know Loki to be very cunning. In Norse mythology, Loki is known to be a prankster who loves to trick people. This could very well be his nature here as well. If Loki trulydid kidnap the Strawhat Pirates, then it would explain why they find themselves in a strange place and have no idea of where they truly are. This could all be based on Loki’s personality which ota could have taken from the actual mythology itself. However, fans also know Oda to shuffle personalities and, in many cases, go against their original versions. There are many characters in One Piece who are total opposites of the characters they are based on. Loki could be somewhat similar. At this point, fans do not know what Loki could be like. Oda could take this either way, but, what fans know for a fact is that Loki is going to be heavily involved in the Elbaf Arc, and this might just be the perfect opportunity for Oda to introduce him into the story.
Of course, Oda could always take elements from the actual mythology and introduce them inOne Piece. With Loki, for example, he could give him abilities to shapeshift, which fans know that he possesses. This might suggest that Loki would have a Zoan-type Devil Fruit, and it would certainly make him a very interesting character. Furthermore, Loki might seek chaos in this arc, which means that his aim might be to overthrow those ruling in Elbaf, among other things. Loki could be a very interesting character here, and hopefully, One Piece’s upcoming chapters will answer the question of whether Loki is involved in the abduction of the straw had Pirates or not.
Could Loki Have Kidnapped The Straw Hats?
Loki Could Be Behind The Mystery Of The Straw Hat Disappearance
The question of whether Loki could have kidnappedthe Strawhat Piratesor not is a hard one to answer. This is because fans know very little about Loki, and at the same time, there is not enough information on where exactly the Straw Hat Pirates are right now, and what exactly happened to them. In simple terms, it is entirely possible that Loki somehow managed to get his hands on the ship of the Straw Hats and has dragged them to Elbaf. As for where the Straw Hat Pirates are, it is clear for the fans to see that they are inside of some Toy House, created using Lego.

Of course, a giant toy house would look like a real house to a normal-sized person,which explains why the Lego-like castle Nami woke upit looked real. This toy house does also imply child-like tendencies for whoever ended up kidnapping them. Perhaps, it was a Giant child. Or, perhaps it was Loki, which would also make sense because he is a character who loves mischief.
More information is needed on what exactly happened to the Straw Hat Pirates and where they were kidnapped to ascertain who kidnapped them, and whether Loki had a hand in it or not. Based on how Oda has described him, there are not any special qualities about this figure that suggests that he is a villain of any sort. But, then again, fans do not know if the guy who kidnapped them is a villain in the first place. Hopefully, the upcoming few chapters of One Piece provide clarity, and right now, fans can only assume that Loki is a real contender for being the guy who ended up kidnappingthe Straw Hat Piratesand dressing them up as the warriors from Elbaf.
