For Oda, it has always been all about the final saga, and in his own words, getting to this part of the story was the biggest challenge. Now, Oda Is finally here, and this means the most exciting storylines, along with the most exciting players, are going to be presented to the fans on a regular basis.
One such character that fans were more recently introduced to is Saint Garling Figarland. Saint Garling made his debut inOne Piecein the Final Saga itself, although at the beginning. In the Egghead Arc, Garling wasn’t all that relevant, but, but with the story moving in a more exciting direction now, especially towards Elbaf, Saint Garling is going to be extremely important, and fans cannot wait to see what role he goes on to play in this series from here onwards.
Saint Garling Figarland’s Role And Importance In the Final Saga
St Garling Figarland is one of the celestial dragons, which, of course, means that his family is linked to the Founding 20 of the World Government. The Figarland family itself is one of the Founding 20, which means long ago in the past, someone from this family was likely fighting against Joy Boy. Garling is their descendant, and this character became extremely important in the story in the Egghead Island Arc. Of course, he’s not playing an active role in One Piece right now, because it is too early for that. However, Oda is slowly building him to be a fantastic villain, and fans cannot wait for all that to pay off eventually.In the Egghead Arc, fans were introduced to St Garling, first in the Holy Land of Marijoa, where he executed St Mjosgard.

This execution was carried out because he struck another Celestial Dragon and saved Shirahoshi, along with other members of the Fishmen and Merfolk kind. Garling was the one who killed Saint Mjosgard, and clearly, his introduction was chilling. It was revealed to the fans that he was a Champion of God Valley long ago, and that he’s the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights. Given that the God’s Knights are going to be incredibly important in the story from here onwards, fans absolutely cannot wait to see more of him.
Fans also got a glimpse of Saint Garling Figarland in Kuma’s flashback. 38 years ago, on the island of God Valley, Saint Garling was declared the champion because he hunted the most prey and was crowned the winner. Likely, he was given a Devil Fruit, because on that day, there were several mighty Devil Fruits up for grabs on God Valley. That is also where Kaido and Kuma got their Devil Fruits from. Of course, Garling likely gained a very powerful ability as well. This is also where a connection between Garling and Shanks was drawn in the story, and, as things stand, fans already know that Saint Garling is Shanks’s dad.
Clearly, any character who has been established as the head of the Gods Knights, which is a new unit that Oda recently introduced in One Piece, and, on top of that, is directly related to Shanks, is going to be extremely important and his role in Final Saga is likely going to see him clash against Dragon’s Revolutionary Army.

The God’s Knights Are Bound To Fight The Revolutionary Army
It is highly likely that Saint Garling Figarland is going to be fighting against Monkey D Dragon himself. Fans know Garling to be the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights. Meanwhile, Dragon is the Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Army.
Given that these two are likely the strongest of their unit, they are going to be fighting against one another, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see more of that. Of course, to some fans, it might feel bizarre that someone like Garling is strong enough to take on Dragon. However, they need to keep in mind that Garling is directly related to Shanks and fans already know how strong Shanks is. Any person from this family is likely on a similar level, especially if they are believed to be one of the strongest within the ranks of the World Government.
Watch and learn, children! – Garling Figarland
Saint Garling Figarland is most definitely goingto fight against the Revolutionary Army, and his involvement in the battle against Dragon will bring out his best. Fans will get to see the ability that he holds with his sword, and at the same time, the Devil Fruit power that he possesses as well. On top of everything, fans will get to see how lethal he is as a fighter, given that he has been proclaimed as a Champion in the past.
Above all, St Garling Figarland is directly linked to Shanks as well. Fans do not know how his relationship with the Shanks is right now. Of course, Shanks was separated from Garling at a very young age, when he was still a baby. He doesn’t have any memories of this figure, but that certainly doesn’t mean the Shanks doesn’t know him. Shanks has previously visited Marijoa, and he has good ties with the World Government as well. As such, it is highly likelythat Saint Garling Figarlandhas a connection to Shanks as well, and fans will be interested to see if they ever clash in the Final Saga. If that were to be the case, fans would be delighted, to say at least.
Saint Garling In The Final War
Saint Garling Will Have Many Exciting Battle To Look Forward To
It is safe to say that Saint Garling Figarland will be heavily involved in the Final War ofOne Piece. This war is going to be spectacular and according to Oda himself, it is going to make Marineford look like a joke. This war is going to be of massive proportions, which means that the biggest and the mightiest enemies that the Straw Hats have ever faced will be in their paths. Of course, the Five Elders are going to be present there, and Saint Garling Figarland will be there to showcase what he is truly capable of. Imu, the sovereign of the world, is most definitely going to be at the top of everything, and their enemy is definitely going to be the King of the Pirates, Luffy. Things are going to be incredibly exciting in this particular segment of the story, and,given that Garling Figarland is a villain, he will likely fall in the Great War to come.
Clearly, St Garling has a big role cut out for him in the Final Saga. In the Elbaf Arc, fans will likely see him go upagainst the Revolutionary Armyto break the siege. He will likely succeed in this and then proceed to fight in the Final War, where he would either clash against Shanks, or someone else of similar pedigree, because that is the kind of opponent that he deserves.
